yes,the tires are rubber,this is a very well made tricycle. I was glad i bought for my grandson.

My only suggestion would be to take it to a shop which specializes in trikes and bikes and see if they can help, and/or, contacting the manufacturer.

No, I don't think so. The children have to do the pedaling. There is no automation to this trike, not an electric trike. But I must tell you that this trike is very sturdy. We have used it in a preschool setting for over two years now! Well worth what we paid for it. Good luck finding what will work for your child.

I have this trike for my 5 year old & fits well. I don’t think even a small 12 year old would fit this bike. I recommend website called especialneeds.com. They have trikes designed for 12 years olds (youth & adults). Check out their: WTX Wide Track Developmental Adult Trike (for 12 year olds & older). Same type design as this but will accommodate his size. All the best. GREAT TOY!

So easy to assemble, my 6 and 8 year old daughters put it together. It's fun to pedal and ride on. The kids love it and it seems very durable.

Nice tricycle

My grandsons are enjoying the trike, but the statement in the description about it being difficult to tip over is definitely not true. Otherwise it's a sturdy, well-constructed trike.
