Electronic Specialties 142-3 Heavy Duty Insulation Piercing Test Clip

Wow! These two piercing probes look just like Fluke AC49 Heavy Duty piercing probes! The key word is LOOK.They are about a quarter of the price too which is a plus, but sometimes they are more trouble than I like. The business end of these probe are, well, sloppy for lack of a better word. It takes two hands to make sure the conductor I am testing is actually touched by the probe. But, when connected, they do an OK job of staying put for roadability testing. But my company's labor rate is $105.00 an hour and sometimes it can take 1/2 an hour to put the two of these at either end of the circuit under test, then I gotta guess if it's my probes failing the test or the circuit is failing the test! Any way, I am a professional, so I'll be sticking to the more expensive professional AC49 Fluke heavy duty piercing probes and selling these to the pups in the shop for a little profit for me and a learning experience for them!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tried using them with three different wire sizes. They were not useful due to fact unable to secure stable connection to conductor. The manufacture will need to update the piercing technology to improve product . product on the way back now.

My husband recently used these devices and has been very pleased with the results. I am glad I bought them for him.
