The best I've purchased from Amazon.
Luna Sandara's product is always great but sometimes you do get those sticks that are off or smell like straight wood. It's literally a mixed bag when you order the 1lb bag of precut ecuadorian Palo Santo. I've tried the Ecuadorian High Resin pack for $10 as well and the Peruvian High Resin pack for $10. Those can be a hit or miss but with these big peruvian chunks I've ordered this time, you know it's coming from a single source and/or segment of the tree. This method of purchase offers better quality control and consistency throughout the wood. It smells beautiful, maybe a tad faint but lovely nonetheless and resinous. Big difference and I wouldn't go backwards unless I had to. You can also cut the wood pieces in bigger portions which seem to last longer. Very happy, I also purchased this deal on Prime Day so I got a good discount.

The real deal, authentic Palo Santo!
This wood smells amazing! No fake oiled wood here. The chunks were big, and the scent of the wood was the same on the outer surfaces as it was from interior pieces after splitting it up. Which, by the way is a fun activity on its own. I felt like a mini lumberjack. I found that the best way to enjoy the scent is to use one of those charcoal disks (used for burning resins and also in hookahs) and to place small pieces of the wood on the charcoal. The initial scent is amazing, with the scent changing from the strong Palo Santo smell to a pleasant "fireplace" smell as the wood chars to a powder on the disk. My only complaint is that cost, but I firmly believe that you get what you pay for and this is certainly authentic Palo Santo wood. By breaking up the wood into small (dime-sized) chunks, this 1 pound bag will last a very long time.

Sorry long review - dont do this oftenl. Found it so important I spent one hour of my time to share with you all. BLESSINGS!.
A good product... a bit expensive for the quality but not by much. Its an honest product. Sure alot of the cost is shipping that is worked into the price they came up with for it. The portion of it i used so far I found to have less oil content then I'd like. Also seems denser/harder than im used to. Besides being able to easily make my usual product into a pile of insence dust with a lemon zester, my usual source has always supplied me with Palo Santo that Im used to being able to smell several feet away from an unopened belivery box. Unfortunately that has gotten more attention from U.S. customs then id like resulting in no product and no money. If this was A+ quality tue price woukd be $90 to $120. It seems more like a A- or B+ that is just slightly elevated in cost but id probably buy again per my current experiences wirh this specific order. A safe bet... Think you likely get what you pay for with Palo Santo options on Amazon and from what i have seen this is likely cream of the crip for palo santo wood on Amazon... Even though My usual vendor for it has it sent directly from their indigenous liaison (affiliate source) in the actual Amazon... i got decent PS for the price, good quantity of wood, nice big 2"x3"x4" (+/-25%) well cleaned chunks (likely too well resulting in the loss of some of the oils responsible for so much of why i think PS is so great...) and convenient fast delivery (try getting that from my guy in the Netgerlands!!!) While the burn and scent quality was found to be slightly diminished and the price slightly more then just right, I do like this prodyct and am happy with the Amazon dealer/vendor....

Outstanding!! Palo Santo
I received 3 large chunks that is full of Resin when cutting it they yielded a large amount of sticks that gives off a strong minty coconut richness. The rest which was a small amount smells nice but not as rich, I will use those outside on the patio. I burn once a day when relaxing and now have enough to last at least two months from this batch. It’s hard to find quality Palo Santo on line so I will definitely be purchasing more of this.

Really Nice Big Chunks, Not Fake
This palo santo is great! Mine came with 5 big chunks all about the size of a fist. Suoer easy to cut down to the length and width I wanted. I just stopped by Lowes and grabbed a small chisel for $6 (Stanley Fatmax Cold Chisel 7/8"). Then I just put the chunks on a concrete floor, hit the chisel with a hammer and broke up the chunks to the size I wanted. The wood is soft and you don't have to hit it hard at all, it couldn't have been easier. It makes way more small pieces then I thought it would, and ends up being a good deal for the amount you get in the end.

doesn't smell like real palosanto, poor quality
I have been to peru and purchased/brought back tons of palosanto to the states and unfortunately ran out. Was very excited to try this thinking it would be fresher/smell at least closer to what I purchased in peru. Unfortunately I was completely wrong. Most of the wood just looks like plain birch wood or firewood, but I chopped off a section that contained the moist oil resin striation marks. When burning good palosanto, you can hear the natural infused oils crackle as it burns and instantly smell the aroma of this great plant. Unfortunately the aroma of what I received was simply burnt rubber, along with harsh firewood smoke. Confused by the other good reviews and maybe I got a bad batch, but it seems like this was a tree that had been cut down too early and didn't contain the oil resins palosanto is known for which is why it barely had any striations or smells. Either that or it wasn't Palosanto. I tried burning a $5 packet of 4 incense sticks from a cheap variety store called "5 below", something I would have never done before because I know its going to be significantly lower quality than the real deal, and was surprised that the 5 below palosanto sticks were more aromatic and smelled more like palosanto than this bundle. This block of palsanto has essentially been a $50+ "aesthetic" living room accent and is never burned as it smells like burning charcoal and rubber.
