Going to be a will loved Book
My oldest found this book in the library and brought it home. We got in trouble for holding it so long and so I bought it. Going 3 months straight of reading this book at bed time. So this book is on the fast track of being the best book and will loved in my house hold. For a wordless book; great to pair for the child learning to read simple words.

Bruce Bear books are the best!
My grandson and I accidentally discovered this author when we went to a local park for a hike. We were pleasantly surprised to find that there was a "story trail" where the pages of one of the Bruce Bear books were displayed on signage along the trail. I was a little skeptical of the story line at first....a grouchy bear didn't sound like a great role model....but the author does a wonderful job of turning the entire story into a whimsical and humorous delight (and good role model after all)! We so thoroughly enjoyed the story that I came home and immediately ordered every "Bruce Bear" book in this series!!! They have not disappointed.....they are all delightful and we can't wait for the next one!

One of our favorite books.
I love books that are entertaining not only for the kids but also for the parents. This is one of those books. I always read it with all the necessary emotions of the characters... and my kids always laugh. This is a must on every kid's bookshelf.

If you don't know this book, you're missing out!!!
If you haven't read this book you don't know what you're missing! It's hilarious!!! And I don't use that word very often. My kiddos are 3, 4, and 4 (not a typo, I have twins) but I love this book almost as much as them at 40.

The kids love it
Our 5 and 6 (Alonst 7) year old boys love this book. My husband also loves it. I prefer the Penelope books by the same author (which the kids also really like), but this one seems to be one of the kids go tos, and since I got it for the kids, 5 stars it is!

This is the hilarious account of how when you have friends who love to talk, there is no way silence will happen, ever!
Rupert mouse has the brilliant idea of creating a wordless picture book which is ruined page after page by his fellow mice, Thistle and Nibbs. This is the hilarious account of how when you have friends who love to talk, there is no way silence will happen, ever! The conversations between the three mice, and their creative, and sometimes ridiculous ideas, will delight readers while they will probably empathize with Rupert, trying so hard to create his wordless book, trying so hard to control the frustration Thistle and Nibbs are creating, until... you'll have to read it to find out! Great conversations to be had about personal and creative space. The illustrations are beautiful and give the illusion of texture.

Lovely pictures, interesting "plot", and all around enjoyable and laughing read
All of the "Bruce" books are excellent, this one is a bit different, less of a story, more of a comedic meta-story. It's all about the mice from the second book, and their desire to make their own book, and how two of them mess it up. The only book my kid laughed at more was "The Book with No Pictures". The humor is a little "older" though. For example, at almost exactly 4yro, my child thought it was funny. At 4 1/2, it was hysterical. Lovely pictures, interesting "plot", and all around enjoyable and laughing read. One I avoid at bedtime, don't need to get them that worked up with laughing.

Love the interactive style book! Highly engaging
We bought this book as well as a few others for my Age 4 ASD level 3 son, to start talking about not interrupting and when it's good to be quiet ect. It was even better than I imagined it to be. I love the interactions between the three characters, and even bringing in things like Onomatopoeia, which he even giggled at!Very engaging and will be a great way to start to have conversations about when to be quiet and when we can be loud, and how it makes others feel. You wouldn't even realise there is a lesson in the book, its written so well.

Nibs, Thistle, and Rupert are at it again!
Super fun read. We love the Bruce series by Higgins. You don't have to have read the Bruce books to understand this one but it's more enjoyable of you have read other books in the series. Perfect for a preschooler. We are all big fans of the artwork.
