Good pants, breathable material, but the zippers seem a bit stiff on the pockets
My Expectation:I expect a well made pair of pants that I can wear for years to come with my Boy Scouts uniform. The Good:1. The material is soft and smooth2. There are plenty of deep pockets3. The zippered pockets are nice for making sure things don’t fall out.4. I always love zip off pants.5. The fit is perfect for me (I wear 40x32) so i bought size 40.The Bad:1. The zippers on the pockets (Specifically) are a bit stiff and it takes 2 hands to move them, they keep getting stuck on something. This seems to be worse on the left hand zip pocket on the leg than on the back pocket. The legs zip off more easily from what I have found.2. There is no label on the zippers for the legs to help the user know which leg is which. This means it will take a bit longer to get the legs back on because the user has to first figure out which leg is which. You could always label the pull tag with a sharpie (which I think I will be doing).Overall:Seem to be decent pants at a good price, they do not seem to be the same quality as Columbia pants (but they are not the price of Columbia pants either!). Honestly, for roughly $30, I am happy and I got my money’s worth. They have plenty of big pockets, perfect for the modern boy scouts (with the 10 essentials and everything).Would I recommend it?I would recommend these as an inexpensive alternative to Columbia or REI pants. They are NOT the same quality but they seem to be good quality.

A LITTLE TIGHT ON THE HIPS AND WAIST
I ordered four pair of hiking pants for an upcoming trip. Using the appropriate size charts I got as close as possible to my normal pant size of 36W x 34L, which resulted in two pair of these sized 34, one pair size L, and one pair size M. All four pair fit but these and the L are a bit tighter around the waist and hips than the Medium. Fortunately the length is good. Definitely use the size charts when ordering! These are a little tight on the hips specifically, which may be restricting when scrambling over rocks. They seem to be of good quality so hopefully they will be durable enough to withstand the hikes that we will be on in the coming weeks. I'll try to update after if I remember. Based on my initial impression, I would probably not order these again but, I will keep them for this trip.

Better option than pricey BSA pants
My 13 year old is still growing but I want him to look "spiffy" for official BSA functions. I can understand the shirt, but the pants from BSA are SO expensive and my guy will grow out of them before he gets his money's worth. These pants are lightweight but not skimpy. They are long enough and soft enough for my sensitive guy. I also like that they have some elastic in the waist. So much more comfortable for a boy who really only wears track pants and basketball shorts. Yeah for comfort at a great price!

Nice product.
I first ordered my normal waist size, 36, but they were a bit too snug. But, I noticed that they were lightweight, nice-looking, and a quality product. I returned them and ordered the next size up, a 38 waist, and they came within a reasonable time. I tried them on and they fit just fine. I like this product and I would definitely order this product again if I need more of the same item in a different color. I like the fact that these cargo pants are convertible and the legs have a zipper at the knees. These slacks can be worn throughout the year, and since I wear shorts most of the year during warm weather, I can put the lower section back on when the weather is cooler. ( I try to remember to also wash the lower section when I wash the shorts in order to keep them the same) Thank you. Dennis Stevens

What you get is a crapshoot
Bought two pair. Both are of the same fabric. One is very good, except that the belt is too short. The other has vertical front pockets, not slash pockets. What man wants vertical front pockets? Pair "B" also: fits too tightly, has a belt that is way too long, and the other pockets are designed completely different. I was hoping to get consistency. Guess not.

Dont wash with legs connected
Pretty thin, and not at all elastic. Works pretty good, but i ruined them by washing with the legs connected, the zippers broke. Now they are shorts. probably would last a while if you disconnect before wash.

Great for scouts
I ordered for my son to wear for scouts. They fit great and he loves them. He has already camped in them. They make a swishy sound if legs rub but the kids dont even notice. We ordered 3 on black Friday for the price of 1 BSA pair. So...sorry BSA but a scout is thrifty. I have shared with my whole troop.

Works as intended. Little nitpicks.
I use this product to go kayaking. I had another brand from many years ago, but cannot find it, so had to buy new one. I walk to the put-in, 2 miles. I like to remove the legs for walking and reattach them while out on the kayak to protect my legs from the sun. I was out for 6 hours yesterday, and under full sun, my legs were not burned. My waist is 31, these pants are 32, the waist in the pants has elastic sections, but does not cinch my waist. Perhaps I should have ordered the 30?Like my previous pants, the length is too long. Why is the belt so long? It wraps half way around my waist.

Very light, pockets good; can’t wait to wear them fishing then zip off for the afternoon
Very light but early spring here in NB Canada so too early to wear
