Q: Is it waterproof? If something wet is dropped on it, will it transfer to the clothing under it?

It is kind of like terry cloth. It will transfer if a liquid is spilled but it would take more than a few drops. Wife has eaten spaghetti and had sauce spill on it and it did not go through. We have had them for about 90 days and nothing has gone through for us. My wife had some strokes and eye hand is not super good so she does drop food often. Hope this helps.
