TP-Link, Smart Home Wifi Outlet 2 Pack 43237-2 2

I first bought a few TP-Link HS200 wall switches to control my lights. It was a pain to remove the previous switches and wire these in. But I was so impressed with their ease of set up that next time I bought the HS103/HS105 plugs. I can now control lots of my appliances via TP-Link Kasa app or Alexa (or manually).But I WORRY about the SECURITY RISK of sharing my home WiFi username/password with a Chinese company. SOMEONE, ahem, can get into my router, my PCs etc., and steal my bank credentials, or install botnets to launch malware attacks. So I STRONGLY RECOMMEND using a router that supports 2 networks. Make sure you have separate passwords for them. Use the main network for all your PCs, phones and tablets, and connect all these IOT devices to the guest one.

Pierde mucho la conectividad. Batallo tanto con las aplicaciones que Alexa me resulta inútil para controlarlos. Son de contentillo, a veces prenden a veces no. No te puedes fiar de que la orden mandada realmente se cumpla. Para usarlos tuve que actualizar todos mis hubs a 2.4 GHz, perdiendo potencia en mi wifi. Conforme existen variaciones de voltaje, se resetean solos haciendo que los electrónicos conectados se apaguen. Por el precio no esperaba mucho, solo que prendieran y apagaran el árbol de navidad y decoraciones, pero mi decepción es mayor.No puedo atribuir esos problemas a cuestiones de señal del Wifi dado que el router está a 1.5 metros y con todo y eso pierden conectividad.No los regreso porque perdí la caja, pero NO VALEN LA PENA. Son basura.

I needed some individual smart plugs for 2 locations - One where I could not use a smart bulb in the fixture (and outlet was behind couch)and the second was plugged into an existing power strip (Behind our TV) just for our Christmas tree lights this year. The power strip is hard to access when the tree is up, so this seems like a sensible solution. I had previously installed the Kasa App for my power strip in my bedroom, so installation only involved opening the app and detecting them individually, Joining them to my network, renaming them and running the firmware updates. Total install time was maybe 5 or 6 minutes for both. It should be noted that Alexa(echo) automatically detected them due to the fact that I previously linked the Kasa Smart App to Alexa. I did have to put the plugs into a "room" group in the App.Pros:1) Easy Install;2) Bell Home Hub compatible ( I have had install/connectivity issues with other cheap 2.4ghz devices);3) Relatively Seamless Alexa integration;4) Manual power switch on the side of the plug;5) Due to their shape and size you can put 2 plugs into 1 wall outlet.Cons: (my dislikes)1) You can not have furniture too close to the smart outlet with something plugged in (see the picture included), this could be resolved if they offered a model with the plug opening was on the side face;2) You can only monitor the "run time" of the plug, not the actual electrical usage in the Kasa App.So overall I like TP-link Kasa products for the compatibility and "no-curse" installation on my network. I may have to get another Kasa power strip as a better solution for behind the couch as it has a flat plug with the power wire coming from the side so as not to interfere with furniture. If you are plugging one into a power strip or there is nothing close to the wall outlet you should be good to go.

Compre estos enchufes para utilizarlos para encender algunos reflectores y lampara que están en el patio. Tengo 5 meses con ellos y funcionan de maravilla, no he tenido problema alguno con ellos siendo que están a la interperie debajo de una marquesina por lo cual no les da el sol directamente ni la lluvia pero el polvo y otros factores si.en cuestión de conectividad tienen buen alcance tengo uno que esta en el primer piso y mi router esta en el segundo piso de extremo a extremo de la casa y nunca he tenido problema con la conectividad de red. El otro punto es que se sincronizan bastante bien con Alexa se encienden con rutina o por comando de voz, también tenemos la App Oficial la cual nos permite encenderlos o apagarlos estando fuera de la Red interna osea fuera de casa. lo que no he podido lograr es que interactuen con otros dispositivos como las cámaras (ni con las cámaras de TPLink) para cuando detecten un movimiento enciendan las luces.El empaque la verdad es muy simple una cajita de cartón natural que aparenta como si el producto fuera reconstruido pero no, los enchufes son totalmente nuevos. El precio pues esta al precio de Enchufe de amazon solo que aqui son 2 enchufes.

I love having these set up. Life is so much easier with them. And I recently learned you can plug them into power strips = game changing life hack. The Kasa app is very easy to use. (I made the mistake of buying a couple other kinds with other apps & was sad that I hadn't installed them till it was too late to return.) I'm sticking with these Kasa ones from now on. Got a deal for 2 at 16.99. It's worth checking the various counts sometimes 2 is less than 1 of them. They seem to go on sale often. I wanna put these puppies all over the house now. I just wish that one word (like "light") could control multiple plugs at once. Future life goals. :D
