Mayfair 8440EC Open Front Toilet Seat and Lid, Easy Clean Hinges and Durable Wood Seat, Round, White

Bought this to replace my seat which had the enameling coat rubbed off along the seat edges. Easy installation, sturdy, comfortable, and material is white so no paint rub offs!

I could NOT put my bidet on with this toilet seat. I hade to throw it away. NOT happy.

Whomever designed the smaller round toilets must not have been a guy (they really aren't even round, they're oblong, just not extended like most current day toilets). Seat design takes up useful space so having the break at the front gives just that extra room for guy comfort. The solid wood design is much sturdier than the flimsy thin plastics often used, where the lid bends in if you sit on it, and I don't even weigh much. As some have said, it'd be nice if there were another set of risers toward the back, the hinges at the back act as second risers but I could see a lot of weight possibly bending the wood. Probably nothing to worry about for most guys.Took me about 5 minutes to install, super easy and fit the older toilet no problem. I only used a wide phillips head screwdriver to tighten after hand turning the hard fiber bolts into place. No need to over tighten. When installing the seat and lid which are attached together, just be sure to slide open the locking tabs fully left to the unlocked position (almost 1/4 left), firmly push down flat over the bolts, it'll sort of snap when firm, then move the locking tabs to the right to hold in place (should be facing up at twelve o'clock). Easy. No seat sliding around at all. Pulling the seat and lid back off the bolts takes a little wiggling to loosen if needed.

After installing a bidet attachment in my bathroom, I realized I really needed an open front toilet seat to get full use of it. This item completely solved the problem -- at a very economical price.

We were struggling with toilet-seat issues on a ridiculously small toilet in our house. Because we couldn't find an appropriate size, we thought we'd either need to buy a whole new, larger toilet or a pricey bidet toilet seat. Then, my husband hit upon the open-front solution, and problem solved. If you have issues with access to your nether regions, an open-front seat might be a good solution. We gained a whole two inches of wiggle room just by using this model.On a different note, the wooden seat feels strong and sturdy, not like it's going to crack beneath you like some plastic seats. The anti-slam feature works great, and we installed ours in tandem with handle bars that bolt into the same holes, without any problem. Handles, seat, lid, all bolted down and secure in the two regular holes of the toilet. Perfect fit, safety and toilet issues resolved. Happy campers.

The first one I received had a broken hinge. Didn’t notice till seat installed. They promptly send another. No problem! Still something wasn’t right. After studying and searching, both seats came with wrong instructions. Searched internet and correct instructions. It was easy after. So far it seems to be a quality well made comfortable seat. The previous broken ones may have been installed with wrong instructions.

This is the 2nd seat I have purchased of this model. I didn't have any problems with the 1st seat, just happened someone used the wrong type of cleaner on the seat & it Stained it in spots, so I bought another one. After about 3 weeks of being installed one of the Hinge Lock Downs keeps coming Unfastened!!! I will contact the company too see if they can send me All-New Seat Hardwar? After their resp, I will Update My Review. Other than this issue, It is A Great Product, in which I Would Purchase Again CEH Cincinnati Oh

American fittings, does not fit uk toilets unfortunately...

This is a very comfortable toilet seat, but because it's not solid wood and it's actually MDF material when the seat moved ever so slightly it cracked and is now completely useless. I love this seat so I am so very sad 😣

Product took some time to arrive but I was mentioned it could take a while. Seller was clear about measures so it was easy to decide which one was the one I was looking for. It is a good quality seat (bit heavy) but seems good quality. Very convenient to have these items for sale in Amazon.

The open front is more hygienic for boys & men. Was easy to install and so far the cleaning is very easy

Less than four months ago I installed this toilet seat, front open. Yesterday it broke when sitting on it (80 kg/person). You call this quality? How long is a toilet seat supposed to last?And Amazon allows you to return items within a 30 day period only, no later, even if there are obviously quality issues, which appear later. Sturdiness: ZERO! I am very disappointed.
