Q: In the description it says this is made for low to medium pile carpet, but on the chart comparison it says not recommended for medium pile carpet??

I personally (17 years vac shop experience) would not recommend this for medium carpet. I would recommend you get the C2 electro+, more money. True; however due to the fact that Miele vacuums are tested to last 20 years, it's worth it to get what you need/want up front.

Q: is this product made in Germany or China ?

The C1 Compact is made in Dongguan, China. All the others (C1 Classic, C2, C3, U1, Blizzard, Triflex) are made in Germany. However all of the motors are made in Germany, even for the compact.

Q: Where is the canister located

The canister is hooked up to the hose & vacuum cleaner head. This is the power source for the vacuum cleaner head.

Q: Is this an air sealed system that takes a Hepa Filter?

It shows air clean sealed in the first line of the description, and it shows the HEPA filter as optional items people purchase.
