For the price this is a perfect mug, leak proof, keeps my coffee warm and easy to clean

So pleased with this cup. I have other name brand cups and they leak and don't hold ice that well. This cup doesn't leak and holds ice for hours. It's amazing. I bought it on sale so its an even better win. Would definitely recommend this cup. I've heard great things about all of their products so I will be trying them out.

The mug is nicely designed and kept my beverage cold for several hours. However...I was initially worried thinking there was something wrong with the Toddy because it was SO difficult for me to unscrew the lid; it would not budge. After attempting to open the lid several times, I gave up and filled it with water through the spout and let it sit overnight. It was still difficult to open the following morning, but I mustered up the strength and eventually opened it. The seal is impressive. I would advise providing a diagram in the enclosed literature indicating which direction to twist the lid to loosen and tighten it. I know all about "lefty loosey" and "righty tighty" for opening a lid, jar, or to tighten/loosen screws, but I began to second guess the adage due my struggle. All in all, it's a great product, priced well, and is definitely leak proof!

Long time user and lover of Bru-Mate products, and this mug is no exception. This mug is beautiful, well made, easy to hold, and great value for the price! Will make a great gift for my coffee-loving friend!

I got this cup for my husband because he works in a very dusty environment. He loves how tight the cup seals shut and does not leak. He's able to carry his hot coffee and not have to worry about it spilling. Great gift idea! Would highly recommend.

The rim to drink from is poor design and awkward. Your lips can’t completely form a seal on the rim because of the rim design, so you have to almost birdy drink from it….ever birdy drink extremely hot coffee? If you haven’t, let me be the first to tell you it’s not cool. That was the one star I gave because the coffee is seriously hot…normally you would “sip” such hot coffee but again, poor design. Also, the lid gets stuck on when hot beverage contents inside so I can’t even take it off to put into a side cup. So basically it’s useless to me. Back to paper to go cups from Costco I guess.Update: I increased from 1 to 4 stars because this cop is literally indestructible and spill proof. The rim design forces me to use a side cup but just for my first cup in the morning, then I can use the mug the rest of the day to sip when coffee isn’t piping hot. I start my day at 4:30am and work 12 Hour shifts so I depend on coffee. This coffee will stay warm until about noon, drinkable until 2pm. Not only that (because of rim design and lid sticking while hot I was going to give 3 stars, but fourth star is because it’s now mommy approved. I have a two year old and a one year old, and they have knocked this cup over countless times, dropped it on the floor from a high table, and purposely tried to pour liquid out of it…….and not a single drop. It has stoop up to my work schedule and two kids and not a single crack. I had to change my review for all the working moms out there because I haven’t even come close to owning a coffee cup like this.

Two problems, (hence 3 stars), as in most items like this, the lid has to be on tight as not to leak. If you over tighten the lid on this travel mug, good luck getting it off by yourself. If there is some secret to this, I don't know it. Imagine two, 250lb. grown men trying to get a lid off of a travel mug at the same time and failing (true story). There is no exterior grip or texturing to assist. I am not joking when I tell you that I had to put this travel mug in a vice (upside down) as so only the lid was being gripped, using both hands to get it to twist off, and it was still a bit of a struggle. I should give another star for the lid BEING strong enough to be tightened into a vice (more than once) and not crack. After two months, I am retiring this one to the cabinet. I am just hoping the next one I have coming in today will not give me a hernia trying to remove the lid. Second problem, no matter how you put the lid on, the drink spout is always in a different position. If this mug didn't have a handle, it would not be a problem. However, it does, and I like to hold my mug with my right hand especially when I am pulling from the cup holder while driving. The drink spout shouldn't be over the handle, on the other side, or in front of the cup opposite the handle. I have put the lid on a at least 60 different ways, it is always different, I settled being happy when the drink spout wasn't over the handle after putting on the lid.I know these things sound petty, but these travel mugs aren't cheap, and it is an item I use every day. I am becoming an expert on travel mugs, and I don't want to be. I am 0-4 in mugs that have some irritating problem or daily nuisance. I read the reviews, compare pricing versus materials and components, and generally try to make an informed decision before I buy. It comes down to little things that really need to be taken into consideration when purchasing a good travel mug, hence why I am writing this review. It needs to be able to be cleaned easily, so I now know to stay away from integrated locking mechanisms, push buttons, slide sippers, and non-removable straws. Bacteria and mold collect in these areas that can go unseen and not easily cleaned by a dishwasher or by hand. I learned that the hard way with the "Contigo" brand when I noticed black, chunky particles floating in my coffee that wasn't coffee grounds (yeah...gross AF). It has to fit in cup holder, I can't have things flying all over my car when I turn a corner, or someone pulls out in front of me which is almost an everyday occurrence (I live in Atlanta). And finally, not too big of a drink spout. No one likes hot coffee pouring down the front of them in traffic or at one's desk from a spout so big you could use it to rinse off a horse in record time. I learned that the hard way using the "Trevis" brand with the deluxe spout lid. Should just call the spout "large pipe or fire hose" because liquid came out of that travel mug so fast, and I was not prepared. I was cleaning my face, shirt, pants, seat, steering wheel, dash, and windshield of my car at the next stoplight.There is not much difference in your more expensive brands to your least expensive brands, or so I have noticed. The reason I say this, you have to love the advertising pictures for some of these travel mug companies. I am not hiking through the foothills of Scotland, climbing Mount Everest, camping in the Amazon, or skiing in Switzerland. My survival is not dependent on my travel mug keeping my liquids cold for 3 months or my coffee hot for 3 weeks. It doesn't last that long. Simple things, don't leak, don't drip, don't drown me, don't poison me with mold and bacteria, no chiropractor or doctor visits, and make it consistently easy to drink out of and refill. My day hasn't changed in 30 years, I drive to work sipping my coffee, I get to work, get a refill of coffee and get down to what needs to be done. Now, if I don't have my coffee, other people's survival may be in question.

This one was as promised si much I bought a second one in red but that one got a one star. It was cheap and broke handke and lid
