Updated Review: Great look & function, had issue over time on the first one; seller replaced it
For full disclosure, I will leave my original review intact below this updated review. I've updated my review from 2 stars to 5 stars because the seller stood by the product guarantee. They originally misunderstood that I needed a full replacement, as the pump part broke. They quickly sent me a replacement bottle, but that was not going to solve my issue of a non-working/broken soap pump. They were kind enough to follow up with me so I informed them I needed new guts to the dispenser, so they sent me an entirely new full kit. This one has plastic washers and stem, but it pumps much easier than the original full metal one, and it is a bit shorter, so now I only need one hand when washing dishes to pump soap onto a sponge. I am very happy to have a working dispenser again. I upped it to 5 stars because this one is working well, and the seller stood by their guarantee and quickly shipped replacement items. I've always wondered if a product should be rated solely on the product itself, or to also include the experience if something fails. This experience taught me that interactions with the seller should play a role in a product review, if applicable. It is comforting to buy a product and know that the seller will stand by their products.Original review:Great look and function, except the top refill access requires pliers to get it out each time I need to refill. Today it was so stuck that even pliers would not lift it, and I had to put so much effort into pulling it off that the pliers slipped and I smacked my head on the bottom of my cabinet. I finally got it pulled off but the straw was not attached, so I had to unscrew the bottle from under the sink, and it broke at the threads, so here I am searching for a replacement, but I will not be buying this one. Perhaps this is an inherent issue with these dispensers, as one is always pushing down on the dispenser to pump soap out, so it forces the plastic parts down into the channel, making it hard to remove, but it seems like it should last longer. Off to search for a new one, and hopefully get one that is void of this issue.

Nice dispenser, buy bottle breaks at the neck
It is a nice soap dispenser. Matches with my other fixtures. I have had it for 6-7 years, and still lasting. The only problem is with the bottle. It breaks at the neck. I happen to notice it when I refilled the soap from the top, it leaked under, making a mess. This is the second time, and now I can’t find the bottle for it. Still looking for one, and hope I will find the correct size.

Some improvements would make this 5 star ...
I just bought a second one of these to convert my other sink. Some observations and suggestions to the manufacturer ... 2 things that would really make this easier to install:1. Using a "wing nut" type locknut rather than a 1.25 inch hex nut that requires the use of a special tool/wrench to tighten. Since it doesn't need to be tightened down (hand force would suffice - or using a light twist of an ajustable pliers... )2. Make this a 1 person install: Increase slightly the diameter of threaded flange since the standard sink holes (1 3/8" if I recall). As it is getting the dispenser to center is a 2 person install. You have to have someone stand and hold the dispenser centered on the hole so it won't leak and ruin the cabinet below, while the other tightens the nut from below. The other easy option would be to provide some "adapters" to accomodate different size sink/counter holes (other than 1 3/8"). Would really not cost that much to make. Even if you added a couple bucks to the price it would definitely improve the experience.Note: Since I am using this with a hose down to a large bottle of detergent under the sink - rather than the plastic bottle this came with, I plan to shorten the threaded flange - saw it off carefully not to damage threads. Then I will use a deep 1.25" socket to tighten it up. The threaded flange is otherwise about 1 inch too long to allow a socket to reach.By the way: The first one of these I installed is holding up well after 6 months of moderate use. We'll see how this one does in the main sink and heavier usage. ... will update in 6 months if i get around to it.

Easy installation, works well, looks good and good value
The easiest way to write this review is to state my one concern: will the long, thin, dispenser nozzle hold up over time? The 3" dispenser nozzle looks delicate and relatively easy to bend or break off with but a slip of the hand. Installed in our new granite counter-top it just makes it over the granite into the SS sink by about 3/4 of an inch. Apart from this one concern, it's a great value product and IMO well worth the $30,00 cost compared to some other brands. Aesthetically, it goes well with our new Grohe SS Ladylux3 Pro kitchen faucet (model 32-226 SD0) also purchased from Amazon.I also like the fact that the plastic dispenser bottle which hides under the sink area, is a "screw in" type. Being my first built-in kitchen soap dispenser, I was not aware that once installed, I couldn't see the dispenser bottle under the sink (it is forever hidden up and behind the SS sink). I also couldn't easily tell by looking down into the top opening of the dispenser how empty or full the bottle was. This means that, to avoid overfilling the 17oz dispenser, you will need to measure the amount of liquid soap being added. The top of the unit pulls off for easy filling from the top.Once primed, a single pump ejects what I consider to be a reasonable amount of liquid soap (by eye, about 1/3 of a teaspoon). Two pumps of soap onto a wet sponge is enough to wash quite a few items. So far, I have not noticed any soap-after-drip from the nozzle.Contrary to the seller's Amazon listing, no video was included. However, good written instructions were in the box (if you need instructions at all - it's very easy to install). The seller sends you a nice, friendly email asking you if everything is OK and to contact him if there are any problems. A nice touch. I believe the email also informs that the video is available to view at the company website. All in all, for the price and initial experience, a solid 4 star product. Time will tell if it gains or loses a star. A two year warranty shows the seller is willing to stand behind the product. Highly recommended.
