Very sturdy and worth it
Okay so straight to the point…PROS:- Sturdy and durable- 3 entrances/exits to use (front, side, and top)- It has 2-wheels and a handle to roll around- Great size for my beagle mix (pictured)CONS- It is kind of heavy. The box says it’s portable but I will not be transporting this crate unless it’s a multi-day trip haha!- The instructions took a little extra time to figure out but I got it together.

Best dog crate ever
When my husband and I decided to get a puppy, we began searching for the best crate. I turned to Pet Gear because I have two of their other products that I love for my adult dog. This crate is amazingly well designed. It has a garage door along one length which tilts up and slides beneath the roof of the crate. Each end has a door and the top has a hatch that opens. I'm surprised some people said it was flimsy. I have found it to be super sturdy. I do need two hand to open and close the locks, but I like that it is so secure that my dog can't figure out how to open it herself. The top hatch is great when I need to reach into the crate for some reason without letting my puppy out. for instance, I sometimes forget to take her collar off before putting her to bed. I just open the top hatch and remove it without having to worry about my puppy trying to dash out. It has wheels which I find fantastic. So easy to move. There was a lot of thought that went into this design and how it really is to crate a dog. And my puppy is satisfied sleeping in this crate. The roof is solid which I think makes her feel secure. One thing is that the pad that comes with it is a bit thin. I purchased a memory foam pad for dogs to place under it and put a doggie blanket over it. My puppy is growing fast (we expect her to reach 60 pounds), and we are now getting ready to move from the medium sized crate to a large crate. I am definitely going with Pet Gear again. Highly recommend.

Need to be able to latch doors with one hand
As a concept this is wonderful. I love the garage side door idea. It would be perfect to have on the back seat of my car and let the puppy have air-flow and easy side access. However, in real terms, the plastic clips are too flimsy, they come out and can get lost or eaten by a dog, and they require two hands and effort to get just-right to latch. My puppy does not walk in the crate and wait so I need to be able to keep a hand on her and/or be holding my other dog in a leash at the same time that I'm shutting a crate. I want to like this product but I'm returning it because the downsides are things that I'd be fighting with every day. I was not planning to fold the crate but for those looking for that feature, I think it would be good for periodic travel, but not for daily use like taking to a daycare. It simply isn't sturdy enough for all the assembly and disassembly and I think the parts would break down very quickly. Maybe they tried to do a bit too much and it would be better to make a sturdier crate with a garage door as a separate product from a travel crate and put the extra weight into better hardware design.

Not what I expected
This product was SO CLUNKY. Wow I was so disappointed. I wanted this crate because I am often going from one house to another and wanted soemthing I could easily fold and bring with. It is so awkward and hard to assemble I was shocked! I love the padded handle and wheels, I feel like they were necessary since it was really big, heavy and hard to carry. Overall it just didn't wow me, especially for 200 dollars. It didn't seem very sturdy even when it was fully assembled. The latches are also tricky to open, not like your average crate. Super bummed!

Just what I needed for the puppy
It is exactly what I was looking for. A bit expensive but I wanted a door on top at the end and side (3 door) this one has one more door. It is easy for me to set up by myself. It is my second crate of this design. The other one is 20 years or so old. I got it for one of my male Rottweilers and it worked perfectly for him. However, I didn't use it much as it was very heavy. This one is smaller and easy to use not that heavy. I'm not going to use if for shows/trials but as a night time bed for my young Boston Terrier who can open a wire crate door. (my Rottie taught her). The only disappointment is that I would like this kind of crate for my current Rottweiler. She is too big for the 36 inch and the 42 inch would be fine for both the width and length but it is only a half inch taller than the 36 inch and she needs at least another 5 or even 6 inches . However I am really happy with this smaller crate.

Very Very Heavy
Pros: overall sturdy, good size, my puppy really enjoys the bed that comes with it, every side is a door.Cons: very heavy. You might be able to drag this from one room to another room in your house because of the wheels, but you're not going to be using this as a mobile crate that's for sure. Did I mention it's very heavy?-while overall, it's sturdy, many of the pieces and sides are single mold injection plastic, which is fine, unless a part is broken and then you cannot replace it without replacing really the whole thing. This is exactly what happened with mine. One of the snaps that is made out of plastic came broken which meant that I could not completely lock one of the doors, and there was no solution to fix this besides returning it for a new one. It's also not that easy to open up the locks for the doors. This could be a potential positive if you don't want your younger children to be able to open it, but maybe if you're older and has arthritis, you would have a great difficulty opening the doors. For these reasons, I can't truly endorse it fully, but if you're basically just going to have it, sit in one place in your house and eventually think you might want to store it underneath a bed or in some smaller space, then it's a good, pretty sturdy crate, with a comfortable doggy bed.

Nice Looking Plastic and Metal Crate.
My dog is comfy and I like the look and ease of use of this crate. The only issue was the clips that go on the ends were very hard to clasp on, but they did finally go on. It has a top door to drop in toys for my pup. It looks so much nicer than the all metal crates. This is the 2nd one we purchased. We have a 36" and now a 42". Very happy with this purchase and recommend to others.
