Jolie Gel Eye Liner Pencil ~ Long Lasting Intense Color (Noir)

I purchased 12 eyeliners and tested them to see which ones I liked most. I apply my eyeliner to what's known as "the waterline" of the eye, the inside of the bottom eyelid. I wanted an eyeliner that would last all day and would not smear and make me look like a raccoon. I didn't find any that were perfect. The highest rating I gave to any were 4 stars, and there were three that fit that rating. I've been on the hunt for a new super black eyeliner since Maybellene's Unstoppable (which I used for over a decade) started being terrible. This eyeliner is nice and black, and goes on dark with ease. It is also long-lasting -- I have a physical job, and it still looks great after long hours of work. My only complaint is that it is incredibly difficult to sharpen. The pencil tends to crumble as you sharpen it, so you can never quite get it as sharp and nice as it was when you first opened it. I wish they would make a version like the Unstoppable that you just push up to use. Nevertheless, I have been satisfied so far.

I love the rich dark black of Jolie Gel liner pencil, but it wears off quickly. I am in my 50s with dry skin. On my lids, it lasts about half-a-day before I need to reapply (if my eyelids were oily, I might understand, but that is not the case). I bought this gel pencil to use on my waterline. Even letting it dry for a minute, it takes less than 15 minutes for it to break down. I never had this problem with Styli-Style pencils which were much cheaper, but I think the company is out of business due to the pandemic (sadly). So I am still looking for another good eyeliner.

I wish the write-up on the site mentioned more about sharpening...took me forever to figure out that the pencil didn't turn to advance or have a built in sharpener or any of that stuff. Not really hard to sharpen, but I use an Urban Decay Grindhouse sharpener which can handle just about any sharpening needs.The product goes on easily - doesn't tug, but it's not easy to get/keep much of a sharp point. Still a good purchase for me, as it stays on really well, even with my allergy eyes.

This is the best eyeliner I've tried. My comparison point is mostly drug store brands plus a few higher end items from Clinique, Stilla, and Lancome. I also tried one $100+ gel liner which came in a pot with a brush but I found it difficult to apply and cakey.Pros:-Goes on super smooth, is easy to smudge with brush-Stays in place far better than other eyeliners I've tried, and lasts all day-Rich colorCons:-The only one I can think of is that it can be hard to get off but since I'm asking for product that wears all day, I can hardly call that a flaw.NET NET: I am super faithful to this product and very grateful that I no longer have smudges under my eye by the end of the day.

I thought I'd give my two cents here. I am an avid makeup user, and I decided to order these based on the glowing reviews. I will admit, they are gorgeous colors. I have several: black, green, blue, and brown (I'm not going to look up their exact names). They apply smoothly, and they don't tug at the corners. However, they are basically useless to me because the staying power is garbage. I do not have oily skin at all, and certainly not around my eyes, yet this product smudged for me something fierce. And since I rarely need a vibrant eye look for, say, 15 minutes only and then plan to remove it, I won't continue to use these. A smokey eye won't survive a low-key dinner out, let alone a full night out or a full shift at work. I will return to using my tried and true products and not explore this brand further.

Great quality eye pencil. I had purchased one identical to this from a fancy boutique a couple of years ago. This pencil was the same great eye pencil for less money.

This is easy to apply and generally long lasting. While I use this shade in the morning, if I plan to go out in the evening I do have to touch it up before I go out. I only have to do this with the light brown (Sienna) color. I also have the green shade (Ivy) and that lasts all day into the evening. I have been using this product for years and find it is superior to any other gel eyeliners I have tried.
