I am a golfer and enjoy the history of golf. This book was very enjoyable and informative. If you have any interest at all in Scottish golf and how it started, I feel certain you will enjoy this read.

I really liked the research that had gone into telling the story of a great father and son team. Also a wonderful insight into the living conditions in Scotland at the time. I recommended this book to all golfers and non golfers

Great way to find out the history of golf, right from the beginning. Two main characters, Tommy Morris Sr and Tommy Jr loom large in this tale. Right from the days of feather golf balls, right through to the beginning of the British Open and the very, very start of golf professionals. I can't imagine playing with the primitive clubs they were masters using!
