Starboosa Telescope Camera Adapter - for Prime-Focus Or Eyepiece-Projection Photography - Camera Adapter for Nikon SLR Camera

I purchased this for astrophography using my Celestron Regal M2 100ed spotting scope and Nikon D70 camera (in full manual mode). After following directions correctly hooking up the system, it will not achieve focus. I tried using with and without various power eyepieces. I believe the focal length (540mm) of the spotting scope is not large enough to accommodate the Starboosa variable adapter. Seller should include a statement to this affect in the listing. Apparently this devise works fine with telescope of larger focal lengths. However, I do not recommend this for use with a spotting scope.

I M missing one piece

The adapter itself is very sturdy, made of machined aluminum. However, it works only with the narrowest-diameter eyepieces. dramatically reducing its utility.I have Celestron Plössl 40mm and 13mm eyepieces, plus a couple of Baader Hyperions. This adapter works only with the Celestron 13mm - even the 40mm is too wide. Since the 13mm is a marginal eyepiece anyway, that means that this adapter works only with low-cost, low-quality eyepieces.I wanted to like this but it needs to be engineered better to fit a wider array of eyepieces.
