Works well. We buy a lot of rice, at least three varieties, and this is much handier than scooping from the bags. It also precludes worrying about accidentally pulling over and spilling a bag while reaching in the pantry for something else.The pour spout and cup are assets; I'm used to the Asian rice cups that are about 3/4 of a standard US measuring cup. 2 of these cups of Jasmine rice in my rice cooker and water to the "2" line" (which is actually 3 of these plastic cups of water), makes perfect rice every time. When I received this, the lid was not secured to the container, and getting it on was a bit of a struggle. The lid is less flexible than the container, and the lid seemed too big. But I patiently went around fitting one side at a time and snapping its latch. The cup screws down around the spout - easy peasy.This is a rather tall container, and I recommend measuring the available height between your shelves before ordering it or a similar one.Overall, I'm very happy with it; convenient and does what it's supposed to do.

I purchased this to hold my sugar. I absolutely love it and wish I had found it years ago! It holds a full 4 or 5lb bag of sugar. I empty the bag right into the container. The top clips down tightly and keeps the sugar fresh. There is a handle on the top and you can pick it up by that handle with no worries after it is closed. The bottom part of the container is molded with indentation to easily grip and pour the sugar out. The spout keeps things precise with no spillage. I refill my coffee sugar container quick and easy! The cap that unscrews is a measuring cup. I LOVE that. When baking it is so quick and easy to grab the sugar and measure it right in the cap, place it back on and put away! This was just what I needed to store my sugar. You could use this for other dry goods, as well.

The product is good, but expensive and the cap is a little hard to screw on. Also, the size is MUCH smaller than what you’d expect. It’s slightly smaller than a cereal box and about the same thickness. If you eat a lot of rice (1 or 2 cups dried per day), I’d recommend a larger rice container or else you’ll be refilling this thing every week.

If you eat rice more than once a week, stop whatever you are doing right now and buy one of these. Do this and thank me later. This has made my life so much easier! Before I would have to travel to my granary and measure there then travel back to the scullery. Now I can pull rice 5 pounds at a time and measure/seal with the same container. This means I only have to travel to the granary twice a week instead of multiple times a day. My chief culinarian was so impressed with my efforts that now I am allowed to have a 15 minute break during my work day...which ironically I use to visit my old friends at the granary.

I'm just curious who are these reviewers? I bought this based on the reviews, but both of the lids DO NOT snap for the containers. They are poorly made and the lids doesn't seem to fit the containers. I tried switching the lids hoping that it will be a better fit, but nope. I highly DO NOT recommend this product.

It works well for one What I need , I might replace it down the road while the container part is airtight the measuring cup part is not there’s no lock mechanism and it doesn’t feel secure , Air tight claim might be an exaggeration

I love this thing. We go through a lot of rice in my house so talk about convenience. Also living in Florida, you don’t want to store anything in a cardboard box so everything gets stored in something plastic or glass. So I had been storing rice in a basic Tupperware container which worked fine, but this having a spout and its own measuring cup is a much more convenient way to store rice.

LOVE this!!! I have been looking for this for a long time! I wanted a storage container for flours and sugars etc. that is airtight and won't get bugs but also has a spout so you can pour directly into the measuring cup and avoid making a mess by scooping. However, all other containers that have a spout aren't fully airtight and have gotten bugs when I've tried them. This one has a measuring cup on top of the spout that you have to turn and click into place and is completely sealed when correctly screwed on. I ordered a few more when I got one because I was so happy with it. Comes in 2 sizes (that I know of).
