I have been purchasing the Heart and Harvest vanilla beans from Amazon and Walmart, both the Madagascar and Tahitian. On this last purchase of the Tahitian beans from Amazon, the difference in the two packages in weight is 1/3 of an ounce, about 3 pieces. This matters to me as until this last order from Heart and Harvest, the company has been consistent with the quality of beans and the weight of the package. I have been buying based on the number of vanilla beans but as vanilla bean consumers we should be aware that when judging the quality of the beans, the weight is of prime consideration. The inconsistent amount in packaging IS DISAPPOINTING!!UPDATE: The company made an offer to send additional beans. Now that's Great Customer Service!! Also learned they will have vanilla beans available by weight soon.

Nice looking and smelling vanilla beans. Soft and plump but I only received 0.9oz when I weighed them without the packaging. That being said for the price, they're still a pretty good deal. Just would've liked the full 1oz so my vanilla extracts would be accurate (1oz beans to 8oz alcohol).

I’ve been watching videos on homemade vanilla extract, and apparently you should be able to wrap the beans around your finger, nice and pliable. These were, the size was good and there was a lot of ‘caviar’ (that’s what I’ve seen people calling the vanilla specks?) I purchased grade A, one Madagascar, one Tahitian. In the picture, the darker bottle is Madagascar and has been sitting for two weeks. Now to see if I can wait 6-12 months for it to be perfect for all my baking needs 😊

These are a good quality and delicious, reasonably priced vanilla bean. I have bought these several times, they last well and are always a great quality bean. I have recommended them to several friends!

These are nice plump soft and big vanilla bean pods with lots of seed paste inside

I use beans to make homemade extract and I decided to try this brand after my normal ones arrived hard and dry last time. These were great and I will definitely be ordering from here again.

I only received 9 beans in the package and not 10 like I was supposed to receive. The beans were pliable and fresh, I was just shorted one.
