I'm returning the item and I suggest you recall the others as they are not safe. I used mine for the first time last night, as I was showing my 12 year old grandson how to use a wok safely !!!!!!! As you can see the handle melted inside and fell off. Not only causing distress but I had fillet steak stir frying. I am reporting this item to trading standards to stop anybody else from possible burns. I want a refund immediately and I will wait for the health and safety executive to advise me how to take this case forward. I expect a response immediately. Lesley Halliday

After watching the disturbing, and illuminating movie "Dark Waters" about the Teflon cover up with the use of PFOA, all our old non stick pans had to go! We set about buying new ones, one of those was this WOK.This is a very good WOK, it cooks well on a low heat, is easy to clean and has a detachable handle. It is very sturdy, and feels like it has been well made. It is PFOA free, so we felt more comfortable using it.The one problem that I encountered was the random collapse of the glass lid. For no reason whatsoever, this just shattered whilst sitting in the pan drawer; hence the four stars! I do feel comfortable that this is likely to be a manufacturing fault, as it would have been reported more if not, but it is only honest to review it as found. I would still feel comfortable recommending this to friends.The seller was amazing, and after sending a photo they offered me a refund or replacement, I took the replacement; I am sure this will give many years of good service.

Don't buy it... Mine has gone a weird shape(!) And the handle has broken off and won't clip back on.The non-stick works well... But that's about it.

I purchased this item as it read pretty good and looked neat with removable lid and handle .. NICE.But after using for the first time the underside of the wok scratched my ceramic hob quite badly. It did say in the description suitable for use on a ceramic hob, maybe they should have added if you don't mind damage to your ceramic hob. To make matters worse I call amazon to report this and all I am offered is a refund, after some protest I am offered $10 for inconveniance. My cooker cost £389 and is now damaged after I put my trust in amazon who described item as suitable for use on ceramic hob. The amazon assistant says we can not do anything for your cokker as you did not purchase that from us?

I purchased the Home Icon Wok to replace my well used current one , it arrived on time and was well packed .Now well used this is a first class product , good fast heat transfer the detachable handle is great feature in particular when placing in the oven or using the Wok as a serving dish ( keeps the handle out of the way ) very easy to clean after use also .The only drawback is that it would benefit from a small handle at the front of the Wok ( my existing Wok has one and I find it useful when transfering from Hob to table ) - not a deal breaker ! overall 9/10
