Perfect for maths help at home.
I'm guessing that many parents like myself are currently VERY worried about their kids education, after 2 years of missed school lots of our kids are badly in need of extra help to catch up. I was thrilled to be given the chance to review these books, maths is certainly a weak point for my eldest son, but also for my husband. He is currently doing his Functional Skills level 2 in maths, which actually covers lots of the subjects in these books. So they are not just for children, but anyone who may be struggling with maths difficulties (over the age of around 10). They both use the books to help them fill gaps in their knowledge, so it's been a god send not just for our son but dad too!The quality is fantastic, the images are clear, crisp and well presented. The information is really easy to read, activities are easy to follow and my son actually enjoyed them. Very pleased!Price, £23 (at the time of my review) for 6 physical copies of the books. You can get a kindle version, that one is cheaper. I think this is a fair price for these books, you get lots for your money!I would advise that you don't actually fill the answers into the book itself, because as soon as you have that book can't be used again. We have a piece of paper that we use to write answers on rather than in the book itself, that way it can be used again over and over. This is particularly good with more tricky topics, my son often has to do things a few times before he gets it right, it can be disheartening to see all the wrong answers scribbled out. So I definitely recommend using a piece of paper rather than writing the answers in the book, you could then pass them on to other kids or donate them to school/charity when you're finished with them!I can't say much more, just that I'm absolutely thrilled with them and they've been a huge help with getting not only my son caught up ....but my husband also! Highly recommended for any person needing to brush up their maths. Great quality, good value and incredibly helpful.

Good pack of workbooks
There are six books in this pack aimed at 10-11 years, Key Stage 2 (Year 6):- Numbers to 10 Million- Geometry and Shape- Whole Number Operations- Algebra and Extra Challenges- Graphs, Averages and Measuring- Fractions, Decimals, Percentage and RatioAnswers are included at the back of these well-presented workbooks. There is a brief parent guide at the start but no indication whether you should work chronologically or how long you can expect activities to take. There is a further guidance video, accessed through an included QR code, to help support parents. The pages are not too cluttered with a good balance between text and images. I would always recommend having spare paper to hand just in case.Personally, I think some of the tasks look too hard! It probably reflects my rather rusty Maths skills. However, the activities look thorough with clear explanations, so children should be able to work through the books independently. This pack is a useful way to boost and complement Maths skills at home.

Will be a great help
Got this as it's aimed at 10-11 year olds. We are moving across the border (within the UK) and have been told that our children will initially be behind their peers due to the different education systems. So I got these to help our daughter (who will be going into Year 5 in September). I was shocked by the level of these maths books. They are very engaging, well laid out and nicely illustrated - they just include topics which I didn't cover in primary school (wish I had though!) For example, algebra didn't come into it in my schooling until Comprehensive. This is basic algebra, but brilliant that it's taught at this age. I also notice that the work on graphs etc is much more comprehensive than anything she's done so far.The set contains the topics: Algebra, Numbers 0-1 million, Geometry, Whole Number operations, Fractions/Decimals and Extra Challenges.I can already see these will be fantastic next year. Would highly recommend.

No problems on each page!
I am a bit surprised with these workbooks. As a teacher and home educator, my first thought was what a waste of paper! The images are so large and the font so big that there is barely anything on each page. Examples take up over half a page leaving very little room for actual questions for the children to try. Nevertheless, the actual content and level of work is good. Each book goes into a lot of explanation making sure children fully understand the methods, with attractive accompanying graphics.I would just like to see everything shrunk in size, space on page used better and far more questions for the children to fully grasp each topic.
