Katerina knows how to engage the reader in the book. A good read.
Jasmine and Felicity are two best friends, although they both have different lives and goals, one thing is common between them and that's Tim, a boy who arrived at Jasmine's house to help them in everything. But Tim is not what he's saying he's and Jasmine's parents are hiding a secret from Jasmine.Told from two POV's of present and past. I can't reveal who's narrating the present because its the twist but Jasmine is narrating the past.Katerina's writing is good. Although the final ending didn't surprise me but still its a good read.

Tense, gripping and full of twists
This was a fabulous book, based in a seaside town where two girls go missing, 16 years apart. What happened to the girl all those years ago and will the most recent missing girl be found? This was very well-written and kept me gripped throughout. The characterisation was very effective and the relationship between Jasmine and Felicity felt very real. This was a book with plenty of intrigue, and twists and which kept up the pace. The finale contained one of the most tense scenes I have read and led to a shocking conclusion. It was very readable, and the shift between the two time periods was smooth and effective. This is definitely a book I would recommend.

Good Twisty Read
I've read several books by this author and have enjoyed them. Every once in awhile I need a break from police procedures and this one did the trick. It's summer and a rather hot one at that and in the small town in England. That year two bad things happen - A stranger arrived and the first girl disappeared. This was well-written and I will admit I didn't see the ending or who the "baddie" was. This book held my interest from the beginning to the end, with no faultering inbetween. I'll skip the plot and just say it was a good read that I would recommend. Twists and turns I didn't see coming.

Really good standalone
Sixteen years ago a girl went missing in Felicity's small town, she bolted and kept her mouth shut about what she knew. Now another has gone missing and Felicity feels compelled to go back because if the killer is back only she will be able to help find her.The story goes between present day and back "then", then features Jasmine, a young girl whose closest friend is Felicity. The girls are so different but close and the then revolves around them, what happens to them and what they discover. Now is Felicity leaving her family and going back to the town she would rather have forgotten.Lots of anticipation, psychological thriller, some unsettling themes. I wasn't sure how the then and now narrative linked in to everything and Diamond keeps you guessing throughout. Felicity seems a bit unhinged at times, reckless making you question and wonder what went down all those years ago, it certainly had a profound impact and maybe now she can address it. Some dodgy characters throughout and I found it hard to put it down because I wanted to know what happened, where it was going and if it was all connected. 4/5 for me this time, I am a fan of Diamond's writing, this is a standalone so you can start with this. I look forward to her next whether it is part of the established series or another new set of characters/standalone.
