Useful for USA
I assume the volume would be useful for american collectors due to the sheer volume and scope of information provided here. The potteries are listed alphabetically with at least one monochrome illustration with two sections of colour plates. Initially I had a feeling that all the wares here were derivative and seemed like interpretations of english and european studio pottery of the equivalent period. Upon reflection I would conclude that the forms and glazes were a response to the spirit of the age and generic to the times. Remembering a book on english studio pottery of the period I described most of the output as turgid with a few exceptions exemplified by the stars or masters of the period. It is the same here; much of a muchness with a few outstanding ceramic artists or factories. The amount of footnotes and addenda would satisfy the most ardent student and outside the scope of monographs on individual potteries would be hard to better.

Not up to my standard!
Said to be "very good condition". Everyone has different standards but I thought it a rather grotty paper back. Presume USA standards are different to UK.

"Good condition" description appears to be questionable
The item was said to be in good condition as well as the dust jacket. I would not consider this good condition.
