Captivating!
This book is hilarious as well as being engrossing. I was skeptical at first as I don't usually go for fantasy or comedy but after the first chapter I was hooked. Kind of like a cross between Harry Potter and Lord of the rings. I would not recommend this book for children but teens and adults will enjoy the admirable imagination that this author has. It is well written - easy to follow and loads of fun. Highly recommended.

OMG LMAO
This book is... Lord, I don't have the words. Hilarious is the closest I can get, though clever is also apt. I mean, even the title is a pun!You might suspect that this book is a simple parody, a mindless collection of pop culture references and fluff. You'd be right about part of that, just not the "simple," "mindless," or "fluff" part. Okay, there is some fluff, in the form of fart jokes and various other examples of crude humor, which I don't usually particularly enjoy, but will forgive in this instance. The story is actually very well-conceived, and told in an engaging and endearing manner. If you know, as I do, that it was based on a D&D campaign from the eighties, it becomes even more charming. It is graphic in a pretty gross way, with vomit and other bodily fluids, not to mention fairly violent, but there is only the vaguest--well, maybe not *that* vague--sexual innuendo; if you know you know, if you don't... Well, you don't. Lessons in tolerance and kindness are sprinkled throughout, though you might miss them and accidentally absorb them without realizing it.The story is of an older G'nome (not to be confused with a gnome), Szvirf, who finds himself the chosen one of the god his people have forgotten. The god is the Holy Shiddumbuzzin, most mellow of all deities, who gave to the G'nomes the sacred herb. (You can see where this is going.) He is thrust out into the world on a quest (of course) and joins an intrepid group of monstrous adventurers. When they are given a job that turns out to be more them they bargained for, it will take everything they have to keep from failing...The editing is so-so, with errors scattered throughout, but it wasn't bad enough to hinder my enjoyment. Mr. "Tokin" (I'm almost certain that isn't his real name) is an entertaining storyteller with an eye for a good pun and a thrilling irreverence for societal norms. 5 stars for the story, 3.5 for editing. Highly recommended!

Amazing story! I can't wait for book two to come out!!!
I haven't read the entire book yet, not even halfway through but I've read enough to be able to leave an honest review. This book is definitely different. I love it! I have been adding books to my cannabis/psychedelic library and this is a great and different addition! Has a lord of the rings quest feel to it and would make an amazing movie series in my opinion. I highly recommend purchasing this book and support this author. It's such a great story with awesome humor. I'm really satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend it! Especially for a gift for the cannabis or psychedelic enthusiast who enjoys reading and a good story!

The Most Unique Book You'll Read This Year!
JRR Tokin's The Adventures of the Great Neblinski (Book 1) is by far, the most wild ride I have taken with a book in a long time! Our titular gnome hero, brings humor to every situation he finds himself in during his adventures both above and below ground. With a cast of characters you'll have to read to believe, and numerous sly winks to culture (both pop and otherwise) this story is one you shouldn't miss (with or without the benefits of the "sacred herb").
