One of the best management books
This is one of the best books on managing your career based on practical experiences of an industry veteran. There are things we learn in MBA and other courses however they don't cover the practical applicability of that knowledge. Often we see that a lot of concepts we learn are out of date.Rajen in his book has helped bridge that gap. He is explained in a very simple way the challenges we face as employees , managers and leaders and how we should view them, solve them and in some cases allow them to pass.Rajen has used to humour to good effect and of course makes reading more fun. There is a lot of insight and learning that you can apply in your daily work.Happy reading.

Crisp and clear
Have read a few management books before but none comes close to "cut the crap and come to the point" better than this book. While on one hand there is a smooth flow from chapter to chapter , on the other it's still best for anyone who wants to pick and read from anywhere and still get the point. This i think is a rare style of writing which makes the book standout.Every chapter in the book is crisp and conveys a message with effortless ease. It's not bookish so to say rather a collection of practical experiences.Must read for corporate professionals.Great going Rajen, will wait for your next one.Best regardsAditya

A book equal to Management Text Book
A fascinating collection of experiences and lessons learnt from those experiences in day to day business life. Very interesting read and not like those never ending and boring management text books but still teaching you no less that text books. It is said that management cannot be taught ..it can only be learnt from other people’s experiences. This small book of essays on management by Rajen B. Harani surely attempts to convey learning by experiences.I hope its readers take home and implement in their daily life various management principles explained in this book.

An easy read providing good insights
This is a useful book, and provides some deep insights that Rajen has picked up about work, life and career over his more than two decades of rich professional experience across various domains and teams. His insight into how to get work done (balancing between making plans and getting down to action), delegation and motivation (people crave recognition more than reward) are particularly useful. The tips on successful hiring are also very good. Peppered with interesting quotes to buttress his observations, it is, all in all, an interesting and easy read, succinctly delivered, and useful.
