Georgia's Terrific, Colorific Experiment

Beautiful Illustrations But Story Lacking
This book is beautifully illustrated. The story, however, is a bit lacking and doesn't seem fully developed. It's quite advanced language for a child's book as well.

How to sneak in science...a good story
I loved this story, and Georgiaโs spunk and independence, while remaining polite, if a bit miffed at her familyโs insistence that Art and Science go together, and are symbiotic. She politely disagrees,at first. Georgia has to come up with her own creative experiment as a scientist, and what she creates leads her to realize that her family might be on to something. I think Georgia surprises both herself and her family. I wonder if the Author/Illustrator grew up like this, or is it just a made up story? There is a nice dedication to her family in the front. I also love STEM/STEAM books that introduce science vocabulary & history. This book does so within the context of the story, gently filling our mind with a science fact here and there. Well done. I am off to buy this tomorrow as the illustrations are too nice to just be on the kindle. I think the author and publisher should propose a good deal on buying both together for less than the individual prices. People will most likely want both. Congrats to all involved on a job well done. I do feel that Georgia is quite song worthy.๐๐โ๐ผ๐๐ผ๐ถ๐จ๐๐

Science!
Wonderful story about a young girl and her science obsession. The author is also the illustrator and the pages are filled with big, bold, colorful illustrations that will enthrall young readers. There are lots of interesting details on each page. There are also lots of science words like "radioactivity", "spectrum" and "hypotheses" which will spark the curiosity of readers, and hopefully get them asking questions. I wish the main character's "idea" or "experiment" was explained a little better, but it's not that big a deal. Nice message and worth it for the art alone.

Love the story but two pages were stuck when it arrived
Beautifully illustrated book, my daughter and I love the story because I am an artist and she loves science. One down fall which may have been a good printing error is that two pages were stuck together which ruined those two pages but my daughter didnโt want to send it back

This book is beautiful!
Bought this book for my Elementary Art classroom. I often try to incorporate science with my art projects, and so I know my students will enjoy reading this book. I am a huge Zoe Persico fan, her illustrations are so vibrant, fun, and engaging! I try to buy every book she has illustrated! Very beautiful work as always <3
