It was a quick fun read, with a few twists along the way. I’d recommend for a relaxing day or two at the beach or lazy weekend.

The location in France was a big call to read. However, everyone was movie star beautiful. There was no tension. The main character was perfect and fell into a perfect job and relationship.

South of France. Romance. Intrigue. Loved the flow of events. Loved the beautiful, spirited dogs & horses. Can't wait for the next installment.

Yet another fantastic read from Kate Fitzroy. I felt completely transported to the beauty of Provence and the glitz and glamour of a bygone era. Owning a weimaraner myself I loved that two featured as main characters in the story, although if I was being picky I would have to say that their eyes only remain blue when they are puppies, otherwise their character was encapsulated brilliantly. Overall a fun, romantic and compelling story which included Kate's love of shakespear quotes. Loved it!

Yet another enchanting book from Kate Fitzroy. Makes me want to cat h a plane to Provence,and enjoy the,scenery, food, and people.

An aged star, her entourage, the beautiful world of Provence. Mix in a little love, crime and mis understanding, a light implausible but fun tale.

Another winner from Kate Fitzroy. Her characters are full of warmth and her descriptions on the South of France make you want to be there. I love the way she overlaps characters from her other books. Some may criticise her books as formulaic but if something works this well why change it.

It was a lovely feel good story set in a lovely part of the world. However the proof reading left a lot to be desired! I have 4 Weimaraners and they only have blue eyes as puppies so this information was incorrect in the book. Still enjoy all her books!!

As mentioned in earlier reviews - readers should read the whole Provence series. Would highly recommend.

If you love France you will thoroughly enjoy this romantic chick lit. The story of Alice's brave escape to Provence and her encounter with a new family. It is easy to read and gripping once started. Ideal for the swimming pool.
