Frankly, I think it's too expensive for what it is. A glass pie pan. Anchor makes a 6" diameter I can get in the grocery store for about $4 and their 9" runs around $6. But this in between size is what I discovered I needed. Making a pie that yields 4 dessert size slices, works best for my household and this seems like Goldilocks for me. But for the price, I would recommend without reservation. ... As a pie plate it works as I expected, with no disappointment.

As the photos show, the base measures 6’ and the fanned lip is 7’. My purpose for gathering this size of pie plates is so that I can distribute home-made pies to our friends & family this year for Thanksgiving (since we can not gather them all like tradition goes). I thought the full 9’ pie plates are just too big for my purpose, and so I went on a hunt for 7’ ones (holy moly, are they hard to find!!). I just received this one and it looks wonderful. Haven’t used it yet but I’ll def be ordering more as the size looks perfect. This one looks a bit thinner than the Pyrex ones but seems like it’s good quality. We’ll see ...

I've been looking for an 8 inch glass pie plate for a long time. It's a nice size and easier to get pre-made pie crusts to fit without stretching and breaking. I made an apple pie and it baked evenly. The dimensions are exactly as described in the product description. Don't be alarmed when you get the box and it says 9 inch pie plate. (The only English on the box.) I thought I'd be returning it, but I removed it from the box and saw it was as advertised. It's a bit expensive for a glass pie plate, but it was exactly what I wanted.

Great small pie plate! Bought this to make pies for people when an entire 9in pie is too big. Had to remind myself of geometry and the formula for the area of a circle, but if you use circle area as a proxy for pie size, this ends up being just a little over half the size of a full 9ish inch pie. Conveniently, that means a crust recipe for a full-sized pie can make two of these, and I can confirm this works! Good durability - I’ve let pies chill in the freezer for 30min and then straight to 400deg oven, no problem. The little handles make it easy to pick up, and it’s dishwasher safe, so easy to clean!

I love that this size is good for a small pie. I often take pie as a gift and this is a perfect size to give someone who lives alone or as part of a couple. It is of heavy pyrex and heats and cooks just the way a full-size pie plate does. In the end I decided it was worth the money (you can find 9 in ones at yard sales or thrift shops; but never a 6 or 7 in one).
