Landmann28312 28-Inch Big Sky Steel Fire Ring, Black

Awesome fire ring! Highly recommend.
We love this! It was built in about 2 minutes. I decided to build the ring outward. I used 12 retaining wall flagstones, 12 square flagstone bricks, 2 bags of river stone, and 1 bag of sand. $40 for all at Lowe's. I seriously could not be happier with how it turned out.

Great fire ring
I think this is great for the money! For less then $20 shipped to my door it FAR exceeds my expectations. I do not think it is flimsy or cheaply made. We used 12 retaining wall blocks and 22 bricks to match from menards, to build a larger ring, filled with pea gravel using 4 bags from home depot, it could use another bag or two and we are considering adding another layer of blocks and more gravel... But for under $60 so far I think this is fantastic. I also toyed with the idea of ordering 2 rings and making the ring bigger. I do think this can be done, even just adding one or 2 extra panels. I don't need a bigger ring, but I might order a second at this price to put away for later. I love it, and my Husband likes it a lot too! I asked if he wanted to paint it first and he was too excited to take it outside and set it up to bother with that. ;-)

Love it!
I was nervous about buying this fire ring because it was so inexpensive, but I am so happy I did. We've used it several time this summer and it still looks new. My kids love toasting marshmallows in the evening and it makes our yard so cozy. We did buy a cover for it to protect it from the rain. I would recommend this fire ring for an easy, inexpensive diy fire pit.

Works great for us!
The price was perfect for us! We put it together with 4 of them to make it wider and higher! We have some very large fires in it. We built it 3 levels high. This is the second time with this fire pit and the other one was only 2 high and not wider like this one. The old one lasted through many HUGE fires. We love it!!! Oh and it doesn't matter to us that we burn the paint off, it gets a rusty patina, so what! It's a fire pit 😋

Awesome price
Fantastic price! I bought rustoleum high heat ultra spray paint and used the whole can to do 2 coats over it to prevent rust. We had these harvest chisel stones from lowes laying around so I used 2 rows (26 stones: 12 inside 14 outside) plus 1 $3 bag of marble rock. Ended up with a gorgeous firepit for an amazing price!

4 years, still in good shape other than some rust
I bought this ring 4 years ago, and it has sat outside 24/7 for at least 3 of those years, even in the minnesota winter. It has worked great, and held up pretty well for the cost. It's also very light and easy to move, so it is convenient to mow around or store. The only minor complaint I have is that it is a little small, and I like big fires. It is starting to rust this year, and I think I'm going to get a bigger one, maybe a more permanent one, now that we bought a house

Nice fire pit ring
Great fire pit for a great price. It took me 5 minutes to put it together and I bought retaining wall blocks at Lowes to go around it.

Great to sit around the fire with family.
I bought this about 2 years ago and use it all the time. I highly recommend this fire pit. We've had roaring fires in it, roasted marshmallows over it, and had friends over sitting around a cozy fire. I've used water to put out the fire at the end of the night, plenty of times. We left it over most of the fall and winter last year and it was full of water. There's a little rust on it but we're going to paint it with high temp paint this spring. For the price, it's been a fantastic investment for feeling cozy in the backyard with family.

Super cute fire pit!
Ok so some of the animal cut outs are a little cheesy and it's not super detailed cuts, but you get what you pay for. I bought this when it went on sale for $29.99, so I can't complain. It's a decent size around (around 2 feet in diameter) but it's short height wise, so we knew it would be too close to the ground to look it's best. We used 27 patio pavers to build a 3 layer base (9 per layer), 6 medium half pavers and 6 small pavers to build the base around the pit itself to hold it in place. I think it looks great and its deep enough for several logs if you want a big fire. It'll likely rust, but we knew this going in. The pit itself was easy to build. Use a wrench and screwdriver to really tighten the screws (8 screws, 2 holding each of the 4 pieces it came in to form a circle). Easy instructions....a child could do this. It doesnt fit tightly at each connecting point (at the rim), but no biggie. I'd buy it again for a gift and recommend it for a simple backyard fire pit.

Lightweight and durable!
We originally put this is our backyard. It’s super cute and light but holds up well. we actually decided to take it back country camping with us and let me tell you, it was awesome! This ring is light, but it’s also durable and works very well! We used it all summer and it’s so easy to just pick it up and take it with you. We love it!

Rusted very quickly / not sturdy
It looks nice - but the metal is very thin and screws are not sturdy.Gave it as a gift - It rusted very quickly (within a few months) and is not sturdy (falling apart).I can't see this thin type of metal lasting more than a few years, as fire will eat through it.

Holding up great
We had some good size fires in this pit and holding up fine so far. We put a layer of brick on the ground, plus another layer to prop it up higher as the height could of been a bit higher on the design.

Perfect
Perfect for our yard, fits on the brick just high enough to do its job and still look great. This product is a steal- looked in person and this is just as good and sturdy as ones ranging from $80 to $120
