Don't know what all the bad reviews are about! All I got to say is, that this product is well worth what I paid for. Set up was easy and straightforward. Once I got the correct angle figured out for my kitchen knives, I sharpened all eleven within 30 mins. And they were sharp! Some people complain that the stones are not high quality. Give your head a shake. You only get what you pay for! If you want better quality, go out and buy. You'll soon find out what good quality stones are worth. Just one man's opinion!

This is by no means super high quality device, but it'll get your knives sharp. The plastic pivot ball is a concern for me. It'll likely wear out quite quickly. And I have 2 stones separate from their plastic base.Which renders those stones useless as the device is meant to grab the plastic base to attach the stones.All this to say, it does work well, but it's not a high quality item. Manage your expectations and you'll be satisfied with the product.I've contacted the seller about the 2 stones, but no response yet

It seems impossible to me to set up this unit so it provides a fixed reliable angle. The vertical angle adjustment requires a firm setting on a screw which pushes against the round cross-section of a spindly metal rod. The screw stripped almost immediately. Lots of other problems. Don’t waste your money. Have a look at Worksharp sharpeners instead.

The product works well very sturdy. The sharpening stones could be better but for the price I paid for it I cannot complain. Higher quality replacement stones can be purchased. I am definitely pleased with my purchase.

Doesn’t hold knife steady, and once the angle is set on the stone it loosens itself and changes the angle so you have to set it all up again. The set screws don’t hold it in place.
