Yes please! Unfortunately in execution this reads more like a teen’s Wattpad fiction. The first couple of chapters are typically for world building, this book simply tells you what’s happening rather than showing you. I finished my work, I took the bus home, I went inside, I had a snack, end chapter one. There’s no build up of any kind that’s meaningful. Chapter one establishes the MC’s sexuality by saying “idk who I’ll end up with, I’m bi.” Suspense gone. “X was always my rival on stage, yet I look for her to congratulate me despite me getting a lead role over her” well there’s your rival/enemy to lover right there.I wanted to like this book, but it’s giving Y/N. Maybe I’ll update this review when I actually finish the book, but I don’t think I will end up doing so. If I wanted y/n fiction I would go to Ao3 not to amazon for a book preorder.
