Q: How many inches is it?can I use to push in clay for impressions or put paint on it and apply to wood❓

The wood grain mold/mat that we received is 9+1/4 inched x 17+1/4 inches. Works great to put a woodgrain texture on buttercream icing.

Q: Can you bake on the mat?

Not at all. Please don't. It's not made for baking.

Q: Would this work on buttercream?

Yes, if your buttercream is firm and the surface is smooth. I put frosted cake in the freezer for 30 minutes, and then used the mat. It was beautiful.
