Unique travel adventure
This is a different kind of solo travel story that mixes detailed pilot information about how to complete these flights with interested travel episodes and memories of the author who has traveled for many years and has a unique perspective on adventure travel. Includes 300 color photos that really help capture the experience of sitting in the cockpit of a small plane. The writing is a little uneven with some parts inherited from blogs while many other parts are better written and more entertaining - you almost feel like you're in the co-pilot's seat. The appendices have a lot of detail including a glossary of aviation terms used in the book - very helpful. Definitely recommended for pilots thinking of flying internationally and people who like international travel stories that go beyond the usual thing you see.

Harry's description of his flight to Antartica has inspired me and an excellent crew of three other pilots to attempt our own ..
An outstanding account of a series of flights many pilots aspire to undertake. Harry's description of his flight to Antartica has inspired me and an excellent crew of three other pilots to attempt our own Antarctic flight this coming January. Harry's book was immensely helpful in our preparation. Thank you Harry!

I read his book at least twice from cover to cover.
I read this book at least twice from cover to cover. Mr Anderson gives an account of his flights around the globe and to Antarctica in his single engine aircraft. It is a great read, and a must-read if you are planning to fly around the world yourselves.

a great book, very well written and downright useful
Not just a travel log, a great book, very well written and downright useful; unlike most others of this genre.
