I don't think the description was clear enough about this. Especially for people that aren't tech savvy. Also not any usb-c cable will work. You have to make sure the it's the same wattage as the original switch power adapter. This explains some of the bad reviews. It works great! It looks really nice and clean. I like this better than my original doc. But even childrens toys will say "batteries not included."

Edit 5/20/23: new dock arrived a couple of days later, it works, if you have any troubles with it just unplug power cable and plug it back in, for the price, I can't complainEdit 5/17/23: Seller is very responsive and supportive of their product, within a couple of days of reaching out they have shipped me a new unit to replace the lemon i received the first time, will update with review of replacement unit when it arrives, added 2 stars back for seller responsiveness.Original review first used 4/28: Find a better dock, this one feels cheap and flat out does not work. It worked maybe twice then just stopped working altogether.Save your money and get one that is decent.

Half the price as the Nintendo dock and way faster delivery. Actually overnighted it for Christmas as I went looking for a dock everywhere and could not find any store who sold it including GameStop. Upon unboxing it, I was skeptical it would work but as soon as I plugged it in it worked perfectly and the Switch fits nice on it. You have to be careful when docking the Switch so as to not damage the connection but other than that we’re very excited to see our two boys faces on Christmas morning when they can finally play their Switch games on the tv again!!

Nice and compact I use it in my gaming room so we can move the switch back and forth between rooms when needed.

I bought this because I needed a stand that would allow the Nintendo switch to charge while sitting up properly so that I could use the Nintendo switches screen as opposed to a TV, unfortunately this device is cheap and faulty.First of all the device doesn't actually allow for charging at all. When I plug a usb-c into the back and then plug that into the outlet and then place the switch onto the device, there's no power going from the USB plugged in through the device to the Nintendo Switch. So after playing for a little while, I have to undock it in order to plug it in.Additionally I utilize one of the USB ports on the back of the device with my Nintendo brand USB-C cord for my Nintendo pro controller, unfortunately the mechanism inside the port broke off into my cord off of the device, so now my Nintendo brand USB-C cord is no longer usable because it still has that portion of their device lodged into the end of the cord subsequently causing it no longer able to be plugged into any other USB port.I need my cord replaced, and the device is just defective all the way around. Never even had a chance to hook it up to a TV - but I doubt that works.

The media could not be loaded. I wasn't looking forward to finding a replacement dock for my Switch, but I'm really glad I found this one. Works perfectly and its low profile design allows you to play in handheld mode even while docked (can't do that with the Switch dock). Also includes a USB-3.0 port, (2) USB-2.0 ports, and HDMI selection at the press of a button. Better than the original imo. 10/10

We spent a few months alway from hone and didn’t bring a dock to play on the tv so we order this. I love it . It allowed me to hook up the switch to the tv and it also has a charging only mode that doesn’t trigger the HDMI connection. Also really like how portable it is.Pros: - dual function, compact, compatible with OG Switch chargerCons- the usb-c for the console is a bit delicate.

Had this since late 2022(Aug I think). It worked for a while and sometimes o noticed it didn't. Unplugged and let things sit for a day or two and it worked again. Now on February 2024 it just doesn't work anymore. The green led doesn't show on the front anymore and it doesn't charge my switch or send the signal to the tv. So not sure what happened and I was using the own power supply with it too so there's no weird power issues. I've sadly lost my oem dock in a move as this was on my backpack with me so now I am without a dock until I either find the oem one in a box of mine or just buy another unless the manufacturers have a helpful suggestion on why this kind of just stopped working.
