Though the book is small, it has a lot of good information/stories. I also loved the artwork in it!

This is a superb little book, not just well written but thoughtful and 'feeling'. Okay, I'm gonna come right out and say it, magickal! I normally don't buy 'new agey' shaman type books, but the illustration on the cover drew me - and I have to say, the pictures inside are every bit as good! Lovingly written, heartfelt, informative and beautifully drawn, this very special book now sits next to the only other 'shamanic' book I own, by Gordon the Toad, with whom it has a lot in common. I feel I have to point out one mistake though - when writing about the three celtic/druidic realms: abred, gwynfed and Ceugant, the author mistakenly refers to abred as 'annwn' which is somewhat different. Nonetheless, this little book is a keeper!

Sweet little book of reflections and drawings. It doesn’t go into anything at length, not more than a page or two on a given topic, but all the reflections have depth and heart.

Dieses Buch wurde mit eine viel zu kleinen Schrift produziert, als ob man eine Beipackzettel einer Medizin lesen würde. Es wirkt als ob jemand nicht will dass man das Buch liest. Es macht überhaubt keinen Spaß diese micro-Schrift zu entziffern. Man kann sich nicht auf das Thema des Buches kontzentrieren, denn man denkt die ganze Zeit nur, Wiso benutzt jemand eine so kleine micro-schrift in einem Buch ?

Hands down the best single introduction to modern Pagan beliefs I've read. There are a few quibbles. For one, "Maiden Mother Crone" is Robert Gravesian hooey, but there are very few such "Wiccaisms", and little things like that are outweighed by all the meaty goodness. Grab one while you can, and you'll always have this to hand to people trying to understand where you're coming from.
