The Sidewinder system safes you time on the pickup without having to move the furniture in your work area. This system works like your windshield wipers; using this motion with great suction that pickup on hard and carpeted floors. I use a back pack vacuum that allows greater mobility. The narrow head makes it easier to vacuum between and underneath placed furniture; without having to move them out of the way out of way. I use the Sidewinder system at work and at home. If I have to use the gooseneck system I’ll go to my car and get my sidewinders, hard floor brushes and carpet brush with the straight long tube to replace the the back and forth gooseneck.

I finally decided to get this after seeing someone, who owned a Hoover backpack vacuum (as I do), recommend this tool. I love my Hoover backpack vacuum but the floor tool is sometimes too big to get into smaller areas. I watched a video of the Sidewinder and that sold me. So far I like it but I've noticed that I sometimes have to go over the same area again to get all of the debris. I still need more practice on how to best maneuver the Sidewinder so it cleans efficiently. I'm glad I purchased this. I would recommend getting the Sidewinder wand to go with the tool.

Pro: Our building vacuuming time was reduced by around 30% using this and the Advance Pro-Team backpack vacuum. The unbent, side to side motion is better on our physical bodies than the traditional bent over back and forth. The extremely low profile makes it easy to get around chairs and under tables and other such obstacles.Con: For this to work the vacuum head needs to remain flush with the floor. That takes practice. You won't pick this up immediately. It requires a few days and helps to have someone monitor the head from another angle as it's hard to see if the head is flush from a top. You need to learn how to pivot at the waist and hips more than the back. It's faster and produces less strain. Using this requires a change in behavior from how it's been done for years. That's not an easy adjustment for many. I found it more than worth it.

I have the 15 inch carpet cleaner and the 18 inch just does not have enough suction. I am using it with a Hoover backpack which I absolutely love. I have the 15 inch tools and they’re wonderful. I just thought I’d try the 18 and not happy at all had purchased two of them thinking maybe one was not a built correctly but my second one did the same thing would not advise purchasing
