Neat little machine
Pros: small, lightweight, simple twist knobs make the appliance easy to use (on/timer knob for the agitator, open/close knob for drain, on/timer knob for the spinner). My clothes are clean in the same amount of time or in less time than with a conventional washing machine. The spinner gets the clothes very dry to the point that they are dry after 12-24 hours hanging. It works great for doing small loads back to back or spread out throughout the week. It's big enough for all my laundry except large towels and comforters. Effect of running it for 3-5 loads per week is negligible on my electric bill.Cons: The appliance came with one small imperfection in the plastic that minimally affects appearance but does not affect function. The instructions book is hard to read due to its organization and grammatical errors. That being said, if you understand how laundry works, you shouldn't need instructions on how to use it.The one difficulty that I had with the machine was that it would leak a small puddle if I used both the agitator and spinner at the same time. This was an operator error and not a fault of the product. The puddle only formed when I left the hose clipped up to the side when using the spinner. When I leave the hose down when spinning, no puddle forms.Great product for people who wash small loads of regular clothes and linens, and who don't mind hanging clothes to dry.

I think this is the best thing I've ever bought for myself!
So I have two young boys and letting the laundry pile up and then dragging those loads to the laundromat has been stressful and expensive. My coworker told me that she had bought a portable washer similar to this one to cut back on her laundromat trips and that was all I needed to hear.It took 2 days after ordering to get delivered, and that same night I washed 3 small loads. Best thing ever!It gets clothes so clean and they smell so fresh after washing. Then the spinner gets your clothes nearly dry. You will still have to hang dry afterwards, but in my opinion, it still beats going to the laundromat.Today I went out on a limb and attempted to wash a twin size comforter. Originally I just wanted to see if it would fit. It did! It was a little too big and heavy to spin after filling with water, so I had to help it along. And at first I was going to just wait to take it to the laundromat to dry, BUT THEN I thought to myself, 'let me just see if I can at least get most of the water squeezed out in the spinner by just pressing it down into it', but it actually fit inside and SPINNED and came out 90% DRY. I spinned it twice for 5 min each time. I was already sold before then, but that just made me love this thing even more.If you don't have a washer and dryer in your home and want to cut back on trips to the laundromat like me, especially if you have kids, BUY THIS! You won't regret it. I feel like this is the best thing I've ever bought myself.

I hate it and would rate it zero stars if allowed.
I washed, rinsed and spinned twiced. It did not clean clothes. Clothes were soaked and dry time on some item was over one day. It also made a watery mess drying inside due to the ineffective drainage and spin dry. I used plenty of fabric softener but clothes were very stiff. When you consider your time and electricity running it through this product the cost was probably as much as the laundry mat (plus you could use a dryer). I ordered this VCJ but got a Auertech brand, possibly a an actual VCJ would help explain the high rating. I stupidly threw out packaging before using the product so I am unsure if I can return, if not I'll give it to goodwill but would preferred giving the $194.00 to a different charity. I couldn't be mean enough to sell it to someone.

Impressive!
LOVE this little washer. I got the medium size because it is my primary washer (saving me unlimited trips to the laundromat) and it does a great job, even with decent-sized loads. It's a bit time-consuming to fill with water, empty, and refill etc. but for me, it's worth it - I love being able to control water temperature/soak time/rinse time in a machine I know is clean (and in the comfort of my apartment :)The dryer is especially impressive -- follow the directions to make sure it's loaded evenly and press down with the plastic topper before starting - it'll get out a vast majority of the water. I'll hang up my items with a light fan and they're 100% dry in no time. The only challenge with this machine is moving/lifting it. I bring it into the bathroom, fill it through the sink, and empty it in the bathtub (sitting it on the edge of the tub, letting the hose hang down to drain). It can be quite heavy when it's full of water, so getting it up on a high surface for the hose to hang down is the most challenging part. If you had a sturdy crate or platform (maybe with wheels?) for it to sit on, that could help the lifting issue!I will note that when I FIRST used it (6 months ago) I smelled something burning and it didn't seem to be working, the washer not spinning at all.... Kinda freaked me out and was scared about an electrical fire. I eventually saw that a piece of clothing had gotten caught under the lip of the spinner at the bottom of the washer, which prevented it from spinning. I easily pulled it out from the lip and it resumed working just fine. Haven't had that issue since :) very happy with this purchase.
