Bright, appears weather-proof, well made.
I had a bulb from another manufacturer that was labeled for outside use, but water got into it through vents, and corroded the insides. I replaced it with a cheap bulb that fell apart during installation. I abandoned my attempts to save money, and bought this GE bulb. This bulb has no vents, so water won’t get i side. The light is bright, and it feels solidly made. You get what you pay for; I’ll be buying GE floodlights from now on.

good product, next day delivery, as usual.
We needed more light on our koi ponds and these did the trick. Fantastic, thanks AMAZON.

Very bright
I've been using this as a grow light for my tomatoes and it's worked well. It has a wide enough beam for me to use on a set of 9, 1 foot tall, plants. The beam can get a bit warm so don't place too close to your plants. I burned a few leaves when I had it only a few inches away from more mature plants. That close was fine for seedlings. I would suggest at least a 6 inch gap for larger plants. Also, it's pretty heavy which might not matter for your use. It's too early to tell about longevity but it seems well made. I would definitely buy this again.

Love these bulbs
I've always loved how bright these bulbs are, I was able to get them on sale. My only complaint is the limited flood of the light, because of the way the heat sink is around the bulb they don't flood light as well as normal led bulbs, but the are very bright

Working well as a plant light
So, the GE plant light you can get that is the same rating is the exact same bulb. I ordered that $40 one first, but it didn't fit my lamp so I returned it. Then I tried this one because it said this one was a little bit shallower. This one is half the price of the other one, and it's the exact same bulb. The measurements on this listing are a bit inaccurate, it's definitely deeper than it says. I ended up getting a new hood for the lamp, and that worked well. I've had this running every morning for about 4 hours for my houseplants, and so far it seems to be working well for them. It is EXTREMELY bright, of course, so make sure you have the light positioned away from any walkways so nobody is blinding when walking in the room or by it. It can definitely burn delicate plant leaves if it's too close, I have a white fusion calathea that was about 2 feet away from it, and it started to get singed after a couple days so I had to move the plant further away. The aglaonemas seem to be loving it, though, as does my hoya. Save some money and buy this one instead of the upcharged "plant" light.

GE LED Light is 5 times Brighter
It really lights up an area so much more than most flood lights. It looks so good I ordered more several times. I only need one where I have double flood holders they are so bright. I just left old 800 lumens bulbs in one side till they burn out and plan to get more. I’ve installed LED lights for people that paid $110 per fixture that are not this good.

Buy for large area or to accompany a shade
This is really bright. For a small room this is a lot. Also recommend using a shade or any light diffuser when using from a ceiling. Just using it directly makes the light more focused to a specific area. I bought this for my work desk in my living room. Will try to buy a light diffuser or DIY it myself. Also since the wattage is high, recommend having a smaller wattage lamp nearby to switch to when brighter light is not needed (save electricity and money)

Little known fact, this bulb is 20% cheaper, but is identical to GE's 32 watt grow bulb
I've been under the impression that "grow" lights are a bit of a scam. If plants get usable high energy visible white light, they can grow under almost all conditions. Just because a light says it is a "grow" light doesn't necessarily mean it has higher quality light for plants.I got suspicious when I found this lamp had all the identical markings, shape, and specs as the GE 32 Watt Grow light lamp. When this arrived, it had the EXACT same model name, and exact same light output as well as Kelvin color. Saved me like 8 bucks! I suspect the other "warm" version of this light is actually the "grow" light for Flowers and Fruit.

A Brighter Bulb
I use these bulbs at Christmas outside to light up a large Spruce tree. They are better than a 100 watt halogen bulb. The bulb is brighter and they never get too hot and are good in snow and rain.
