Dries out the skin
This is a huge brick of soap! It's nice to have this amount of soap but it makes washing with it difficult. My husband has big hands but even he complained that it's just too much to hold. He has still been using it, but by lathering up a shower poof. I used it as well because it was in the shower and I didn't feel like jumping out to grab another bar. I couldn't hold onto it at all and also used the poof. It does have a light, masculine scent and the exfoliating bits are nice. We both agreed that is was too drying on our skin. Most luxury soaps have more moisturizing ingredients in them. We'll keep this soap on the sink for hand washing.

Very nice soap, if overpriced
This is a pleasant and high-quality bar of soap at a tremendously inflated price. Finely milled, the heavy bar has a slightly exfoliating texture, with little bits of grit embedded in it. It lathers well, and while the bar itself just smells generically perfumey, the lather has a mild eucalyptus-mint scent that fades quickly after washing. The 9-oz bar feels like it'll last a good while, and is pleasant to use. The quality of the soap, very finely milled, is comparable to other high-end brands such as Pre de Provence ; unfortunately, the price is more than 50% higher. I don't see any real reason to prefer it over the competition, but it's nice enough on its own. Pre de Provence

Superior Product by Hawthorne, As Always!
I've been a HUGE fan of Hawthorne's grooming line for men for a while now so it comes as no big surprise that I absolutely love this product! Hawthorne's Men's Exfoliating Mint & Eucalyptus Bar Soap is an all-in-one skin resource that has the following benefits:- The eucalyptus aroma this bar soap releases in the shower opens up your senses, as well as your nasal cavity! Its potent mint and eucalyptus scent stays on your skin for a while, garnering all the compliments.- Exfoliates created within the soap do a great job of ridding dead skin cells off your body but be cautious if you've never used this product before. It can be a bit abrasive for some people, best to apply lightly at first.- The retail price may seem steep but you get a lot of product that lasts quite a while if stowed correctly (keep it from moisture when not in use). TIP: Divide into 4's and use 1 piece until it's done to extend it's life!- Made with ingredients that don't damage or harm your skin, this bar soap is: sulfate-free, paraben-free, silicone-free, phthalate-free and cruelty-free. It's practically all natural with 0 effects on the environment.- It's completely versatile and can accommodate the hygienic needs of both genders, making it an extremely nice gift for those in your life who can be hard to shop for.Hawthorne has always produced solid products that cater to customer needs, with their exfoliating bar soap becoming my new favorite shower product! If you haven't checked out their wide array of skin care tools, I suggest you start moving because you're missing out on some high-quality skin care results.

Large Fragrant Soap
The Hawthorne Exfoliating Bar Soap is a big bar that came in a box. It's very giftable. It has a fragrant sandalwood aroma that lingers on the skin after rinsing. I love how hefty and substantial the bar is. It lathers up and provides a creamy sensation that does a great job cleaning my skin without stripping it of oils. It also has fine exfoliating particles that help to slough off dead skin cells. It leaves my body soft and smooth and ready for my day.Made in the USA~ Kort

Big, effective, smells great
I suppose this is considered a “men’s” soap because it’s not a flowery or fruity perfume, contains oats and wheat bran to exfoliate, is not a delicate pastel color, and is not meant for delicate skin. It’s part of Hawthorne’s men’s grooming line, and certainly would be a fine choice for men. However, the earthy, herbal fragrance seems appropriate for either gender, and the other aspects are a matter of individual skin and preferences. In other words, if you like this, I don’t think you’ll need to find room for his ‘n’ her soaps in your shower. It's a very big bar of soap; we’ve been using it for a month and it’s still big. It’s expensive for a bar of soap, but it’s not terribly out of line with other high-end brands. Park it on a soap dish to help it last longer.
