Really good product and does exactly what it says..

I am trying to copy old VHS and mini DV tapes to PC.This product is defective. I can pick up audio but no video signal.The software detects the USB device but the composite/s-video options remain ghosted.I have tried two different VCRs and a camcorder. Also different cables and a brand new s-video cable.Software disc shows version 4.0 on the disc but version 3.0SE on the splash screen.As defective it really deserves zero stars.Will request refund or replacement.

The picture quality is terrible, but you might not notice that if you're only converting old VHS home video. However, the audio wanders in and out - that's very noticeable and annoying. When the sound does work, the quality is just as poor as the video.All in all, it makes this device totally useless for anything but silent movies. Avoid!

When I managed to get any picture at all it was unwatchable. Most of the time I had just a black screen. Replaced with more expensive version that works perfectly.

If using MacOS, QuickTime worked for me where nothing else did.

Wish there was an option for zero stars. No audio or image when recording... literally just a black screen. I exhausted all the troubleshooting options. The only good thing was that I managed to get a refund.

Terrible. No audio transfer and picture transfer is completely unstable.
