Armen Living Panda Dining Chair, Single, Black Faux Leather

I ordered this one chair last week to try it out and insure we loved it bf buying a set for a new mid century style dining table we've ordered from an online furniture store. We've been looking for a set of chairs that look pretty, are comfortable, and have the mid century vibe. It came in today and arrived in a light foam cover, which protected the wood back of the already assembled seat, and the legs, which are metal and coated in metal paint that matches the back, so they coordinate w/the back, but are not tacky looking. They were boxed in a well sealed triangular box, which helped it not move around a lot in transit, I guess, since there is not a single blemish on the chair! In fact, I love this chair! It took me ten minutes to screw the separately boxed legs on and they are well tagged as either front or back legs. The holes are pre-drilled on the seat and match perfectly w/the legs. the tiny screw driver is included since you need one of those 6 sided drivers to assemble. Best of all, they are very, very comfortable! The seat is well padded and the faux leather is very soft. We've sat in it for about an hour and so far, it holds up to my 200# husband comfortably. So, I'm ordering three more today! As a side note, though, although these look sturdy and are very comfortable, the backs are NOT solid wood. The backs are plywood and stained a walnut brown, though it shows more reddish brown than dark brown. The staining is beautiful, though and it looks good quality. My table will be solid dark walnut, and since the trend is not matchy, matchy, I'm hoping they blend in w/o trying to match them to the table.. The price point is very affordable, much less than some of the same style chairs from the popular mid century modern furniture stores online and walk ins.; so these chairs may only hold up a few years, since they don't cost $500+/piece. But we only use our dining room a few times a year since we have a kitchen table we use daily. But I can always replace them a few years down the line if they don't last since the price is very reasonable. I'll submit photos when I get the others and my table.

I'm a 6' tall 210lb man. This chair is extremely sturdy and easy to assemble. It is a little wide which is PERFECT! I have slight wiggle room around me. The look is sleek and just as pictured. Love this chair!

We really liked the looks of this chair. In fact, we liked it so much we ordered 10 of them. A few were put together easily but most have a problem with the right front leg, see picture 2. It is as if the holes are not drilled in exactly the right place. As a result, the right front leg does not reach the floor and makes the chair wobbly. We had already planned to put little slider feet on them and the cup-shaped feet we bought allowed us to fix the problem on some by sliding a washer in the feet we added. On one chair the distance is too great to make up for it and one other chair came with scratches so we will be returning two and trying with two new ones.

Love how easy this was to assemble. Fits perfectly with my vanity and is very comfortable with a clean look. I was nervous about the legs being uneven because of other reviews but I did not have that issue. It does mention you can slightly bend the legs to even them out in the instructions.

Loom even better in person, and the wood look is surprisingly good.I bought through Amazon Warehouse and one set was missing screws, but Amazon sorted this immediately.Very impressed!

Ugh! I ordered two of these “used like new” chairs. One of the chairs really was in new condition. Great sturdy chair. I felt so lucky and was looking forward to assembling the second chair. However, after opening the visibly beat up box, the second chair was clearly used. It had a deep tear in the seat back cushion and glitter and crumbs all over the seat. I returned it and received a refund. Then I took my chances and ordered another “used like new” chair. After a short delivery delay, I was cautiously excited as I opened the box. The seat and seat back were in new condition. I thought, Great! I got a good one! So, I began installing the chair legs. Everything looked awesome until I turned the chair over to check the legs. Ugh! One leg is almost an inch off the floor while the other three steady the chair at a level position. I’ll have to return this one as well. Wish I could get just a leg replacement! Now I'll have to either take a chance on another "used like new" chair or pay the full price.

I absolutely love these chairs. They were affordable, they’re very durable, easy to clean, comfortable, and we always receive compliments on them. They are the perfect height for our dining room table and they elevate our mid-century modern industrial look.
