A lot in a small package
This book was recommended to me by a priest and after reading it, I can see why. Hard to beat this for an introduction into Oriental Orthodoxy. The author knows his stuff and covers a lot of ground. Definitely I would recommend to anyone who wants to gain a better understanding of the Oriental tradition. You could do a lot worst but for an introduction, this one would be hard to beat.

A book that opened a new world to me
I stumbled across this book as I was starting my Ph.D. research on the Syriac Orthodox families originating from the Tur Abdin region in southeast Turkey and now living in Germany. I knew little to nothing about Orthodoxy, let alone Oriental Orthodoxy. It felt like a God-sent gift! When I opened the book, I realized that not only would it explain some key concepts through the Oriental Orthodox understanding, but it would also allow me to touch on the backgrounds of the various Oriental Orthodox families, something that I knew would get me started on the right track in my research.Andrew N.A. Youssef helped me quickly parse through key concepts, always undergirded by Bible references and Church Father insights. His writing style was not overwhelmingly academic, something that I consider a gift for anyone new to a topic. The book is accessible to any layperson with a baseline understanding of the Bible and theological concepts. In the meantime, I just recently had the chance to meet Andrew and his lovely wife Contessa, and got to listen to him deliver an academic paper at the Second International Orthodox Theological Association meeting in Volos, Greece. Andrew will have much more to add to this conversation about the Oriental Orthodox faith, and I for one am excited about the prospect of reading more.Give this book a read, if you—like me—would like to understand this topic better.

An absolute gem to add to your library!
Yes, my heart skips a beat with joy each time I see a reference to our Indian Orthodox Church .. HG Paulos Mar Gregorios and St. Gregorios are referenced along with Saints and teachers from all the Oriental Orthodox Churches. Thanks for this incredible book, Andrew N. A. Youssef! 🙏🏾 Always enjoyed your online writing and strongly recommend the book "Oriental Orthodoxy Unveiled" to anyone looking to add another gem to their library.

A beautiful and thorough introduction to Oriental Orthodoxy
Andrew has done an exemplary job of showcasing the diversity and richness of the Oriental Orthodox tradition. His book is a valuable resource for both those within the tradition and those outside of it, as it offers a comprehensive and accessible introduction to the unique beauty of the Oriental Orthodox family of churches. Andrew's exceptional talent for simplifying complex theological concepts makes the book not only an enlightening read for those unfamiliar with the style and framework of Orthodox discourse, but also a valuable resource for those looking to deepen their understanding of rigorous dogmatic principles without sacrificing the nuances of the tradition.

Great! A clear and understanding read!
This book is awesome! I came from a place of no understanding of the Eastern faith and this book put the basics and general understanding into such clear terms. It makes sense on how the theology developed while being written in a prayerful manner and not a dreadfully dull tone. 10/10 would recommend
