If you wore Tretorns in the 80s you will be disappointed. If you didn't they are a great shoe. Somewhere along the way, little things have changed and they are just not the same. If I evaluate as if I had never worn they are a good shoe, but not my favorite. They are not the most comfortable shoe I own, but not the least by far. My feet tend to sweat more in them than in other shoes of a similar type.

Unfortunately, these shoes didn't have any arch support so I had to return them. I wear a 9w just because I need a wider toe box. Size was to be expected. I see how the other reviews have concerns about the leather...it is a little on the shiney side or maybe just has a slight sheen to it. The shoes are very soft and seem to have decent cushion. I did find the tongue to be a little short also, but nothing that was bothersome.

The most comfortable sneakers EVER!!!! I am a teacher and on my feet all day. I wore these the other day for the first time - I received complements and OMG they were so COMFORTABLE ALL DAY! Looking forward to wearing them often. I normally wear a 7.5 regular but I do have wider feet - based on reviews running large - I ordered a 7W - they fit perfectly. So happy with this purchase - and I got them I guess when they were on sale - bonus!!! Price increased by $25 the day after I ordered them. Wish they were not made in China but...again sooooo comfortable!

Beware of shoes not sold by Amazon or a reputable company. I have owned real Tretorns before and these are not real. The material is terrible and like plastic, the sizing is completely off and the tongue rubs and is painful. Horrible shoes. I wish I had returned them.

I was worried about the fit I am a 7 1/2 wide in my shoes I got a 7w and they were a perfect fit.
