AMAZING movie, but I totally misunderstood the rental agreement and was surprised when I tried to watch the movie more than once within the 30 days and was faced with having to pay again, which I did not. Buyer beware.

Love this movie!! I loved it enough that I ended up reading the short story that the movie is based off of! There are some changes, but it's very close to being exactly the same!

Directed by Denis Villenueve, the sci-fi giant, who tackled the new Dune. The acting by Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner make this one of the best sci-fi films of all time. The story line is delivered with an amazing twist. The movie music is extraordinary! The music should have received an academy award nomination. “On the Nature of Daylight” and modern vocals written by Johan Johansen are exceptional. A unique hopeful perspective on extra terrestrials. One of my favorite movies of all time!

Overall this sci-fi movie is intriguing with an interesting concept. If you are into language/translation, this movie will probably interest you.

I enjoyed this complex movie a lot. Glad I own it now. Hope others do too. Thanks Amazon for always working hard to make orders arrive safely and on time.

Denis Villeneuve does a masterful job on this movie and is worthy of the 8 Oscar nominations. Arrival will become a classic Sci-Fi movie in the decades to come.

watched this w my boyfriend who loves alien stuff but i was worried this might be too cerebral for him but we got to maybe the half way point of the movie and he checked how much time was left and he turned to me and said "i wish this movie was like four hours long." when the credits rolled he turned to me again and said "that was the best movie ive ever seen." the short story by ted chiang that this is based off is also very good! they changed some details for the movie but would 1000000000% recommend watching this movie, it put a lot of things in perspective for me.

This is a movie that deserves watching again. A wonderfully deep examination of not just aliens but of humans
