not the nicest to look at, but as these were hidden in the back of the pc case I didn't mind. Although a cable protector or braided cable version would be nice.I never understood using Molex in 2020, and I didn't want to hook up a 4 way Molex lead to the modular PSU so I invested in this, which saved me space and time

I had ordered this item because the one and only internal drive on my computer is a sata drive, and the power plug had become damaged, however I had spare molex plugs on my system, and so I ordered the 6 in 4 Pin Molex to Sata power from Startech.com. The item arrived quickly, and within a short space of time from receiving it I had it fitted to my computer, the plugs are a tight and snug fit, very pleased with this product.

Top marks for value for money as the adapter is well made and arrived promptly, durability should suffice and very easy to install no need to force anything, just a gentle pressure and your connected.

The cable that came with my power supply to connect to the HDD didn't work so I bought this combined with the 4pin molex cable and fixed the problem fast!

"Molex to SATA, lose all your data" is a phrase quite well known in the IT world. This mostly comes down from molex to SATA cables with moulded plastic ends which then eventually over time catch fire (!).This StarTech cable has a crimped SATA power end which is much safer, so I'm confident it'll work well in my microserver.
