My dog is a 35lb medium herding mix, and this harness fits him so well! I've been working him up to longer hikes and wanted something he could wear to help carry his things. The pockets aren't big enough to hold 16oz water bottles, but they can hold first aid items, keys, (filled) poop bags, etc. It's been holding up well and doesn't slip around. No rub marks on the dog, and his movements are not restricted at all in it. Worth the money!

We needed a harness for our whippet. He had to get staples in his neck due to a dog bite so we needed something that would sit lower on his shoulders and this harness did the trick. I also like that it's three point because our whippet can sometimes wiggle out of regular harnesses due to his body shape. Has pockets so he can carry his poop bags with him. I haven't tried it for hiking but it seems pretty good we tried the handle on the back and it works well. We call this harness his ninja turtle shell.

Excellent bit of kit, wish I hadn't bothered trying alternative brands. Fits like a glove and stays put unlike others. Good size pockets for carrying essentials for mountain climbing I.e. 1st aid kit, poop bags & snacks. And it still looks like new after several hikes in all weathers. Others I've used have frayed & torn on their first outing. Ruffwear never fails!
