Channellock E346 E Series 6-Inch Combination Plier with XLT Joint

A general pair of pliers in a tool apron is a must. These are a great size to carry, they don't catch a lot with long handles sticking out ( for tougher jobs there's a bigger pair when needed) . The handles don't have a heavy overmolded cover, the dipped vinyl helps them fit into their holder well.Price-point, a good purchase. Never purchased a Channelock product that was not happy with.

Does not feel like Channellock - The jaw remains open about 2mm. The quality simply is not there. This not what I expect from Channellock brand

With channellock you can get quality tools for life and support western jobs. Unfortunately you really need to go to th store and rifle through to the entire batch and pick what you think is the best one. With the internet you don't that and I was sent a stinker with jaws 1-2 mm open when the pliers are closed.

These pair of pliers had a stiff pivot and the handles were poorly ground forward of the pivot. An hours work with small files, oil and valve grinding paste freed it up. Now it is a joy to work with. If they had been more well ground they had deserverd 5+ stars. I'll buy some more of these handy pliers for the tool rolls of my cars and motor cycles. Both Channellock and their customers would benefit greatly if the workers worked less fiercely and more carefully!
