Poor quality control
The filter I received has very unevenly spaced holes in the surrounding housing. Lots of sharp edges as a result. I decided against the hassle of returning it, because the inner housing looks ok. The rubber end gasket is really an uneven mess as well. I'll be avoiding this brand in the future.
