This book is from a Christian mother of 9 children. She is wise, practical and loving mother who shares her advise about how to run a peaceful home with lots of busy happy children underfoot. It is a book that I will come back to again and again. I plan to give this to many friends.

Not what I had expected, very disappointed a dated book

I became a mom at 21 and clearly still had a bit of growing up to do. Now I’m 26 with my third on the way and figured it was time to start getting truly organized instead of the constant cycle of getting everything clean in a couple days, and leaving it for a couple weeks for it all to pile up again. Small daily chores are so much more efficient. Although I’m only halfway through the book I’ve already learned so many tips and my house is already looking better.I love the motivation it brings and how it’s connecting me more to Jesus and prayer which was always an area I was lacking.

I liked this book. I have six small children and I appreciate any homekeeping and organizing advice I can get. I have a friend who raved about this book and said it is her very favorite one that she comes back to again and again. I bought it on her recommendation and I really enjoyed reading through it. I will refer to it for certain things, but I cannot say it is the best book I have on the subject. I feel that once you have a full household and have given yourself to finding solutions for the everyday organizational and time management issues all moms with lots of kids face you already have lots of these systems in place. I love to see how other moms solve these problems, too, because who can’t use some encouragement and ideas? And sometimes it is nice just to know you aren’t the only one facing these same battles. I think that is the biggest benefit I got from this book. But if you are drowning down in the trenches and don’t know where to start, this is a terrific first read. And I love her attitude.

Although I have a large family and we homeschool, I still recommend this book to all mothers. If you struggle with day to day organization or home management, this is for you. I read a lot but only have a few books out at all times. My Bible, Trim Healthy Mama, and this book are always handy! This book changed my life and I'm not kidding. I needed help and thought I needed a maid/ nanny. After implementing the ideas in this book, I now am on top of my game and didn't have to pay for help.
