The patterns are nice, but they are boxy. I made the sweater vest after measuring carefully and the only complaint was that the initial chain row was tight. Probably a good idea to chain with a larger hook when working from the bottom up. My mom loved it, though, so all is well.

I just received this. It isn't much more than a pamphlet. It has 6 (six) projects in it. I only liked 2. And there is one I might modify. So it's not worth $12. If I had seen this book in a craft store I would never have bought it. I have not made any projects from it yet. I may not have time for a year or so. If it had been $5.98 maybe it would have been worth it. Maybe. The projects do not look hard though. But some are out right ugly.

These are near-traditional designs that have enough twist to make them interesting to make and wearable for a long time to come. A good value!

Excellent book! Contains many patterns for all levels of learners. I have begun work on a sweater and I am very happy with it.

Several patterns I could use

These patterns are simple enough, but I agree with other reviewers who call them "too boxy"--I think they're downright frumpy. But I think at least a couple could be saved by extending them to tunic length and wearing a wide belt with them. Frankly, they mostly just look like the potato sacks most clothing manufacturers offer to plus-size wearers, which is frustrating. I turn to self-made items so I can actually look and feel pretty as a fat person, rather than being disappointed in my appearance.Since it was only a few bucks on Kindle and I had credits, I'm not upset about the purchase. Had I paid outright I'd be somewhat cranky. Had I paid a greater price outright, I'd be extremely bothered. So keep the price in mind and whether or not you have the energy to extend or modify a pattern when deciding to purchase this.

Just as advertised, looking forward to working on some of the patterns
