I ordered the Night Owl Sp, Llc Night Owl 16 Channel Wired 1080p HD Bluetooth Home Security DVR "WITH 1TB HARD DRIVE" (Add up to 16 Cameras), Black, DVR-BTD2-16.Product did not come with any Hard Drive as advertised it should have.I am going to contact Night Owl company to send Hard Drive and I will install.All other features seam to be working fine at this time.Update: Night owl will not honor their warranty because they state I bought product from an unauthorized seller/dealer "Sprecious" . Although I placed the order on Amazon but, was filled by Sprecious an unauthorized seller/dealer they will not honor the warranty.Then my question is why is Sprecious allowed to sell on Amazon. Watch out who and what you buy from Amazon and/or or who is filling your order.Yes, I could return the product but, that is not the point. Sprecious make this right and send me my 1TB hard drive that was supposed to be included with the purchase.

I returned it, seems the old one just needed a new ac/dc transformer plug.

Unit didn’t work out of the box. My original one stopped working after two years and of course out of warranty. I’m not sure if it was Night Owl or a bad seller. There was no hard drive in the unit and it wouldn’t go past the Night Owl splash screen.Went with a much cheaper Annke and besides not having the ability to fast forward the videos when not on the LAN it is a much better system all around. It worked with my existing Night Owl cameras as well so the cheaper system wins.

Hopefully will get it right this next time.

I dislike not being able to have a remote to switch camera view. The older version is more people friendly.

Bought to replace one we bought from Sam’s that quit working out of the blue after having zero problems with it. Bought a NEW one not an open box buy but when I received it today it was obviously an returned one that was sent to us cause the box was taped up from when it was ripped open by prior person and the contents were not even neatly packed, just shoved in there and the box taped with packing tape to hold it all in… But was like whatever we need this and have already gone without or cameras for several days so it is what it is… except when I plugged it in it didn’t even work. Probably why it was returned in the first place.But yeah, very deceptive to sell as new when it’s available to purchase as open box for a cheaper price. If we wanted open box we would have bought open box. So yeah, I would take caution from buying from this seller.

This system is completely useless, 1st it wants you to set up using Bluetooth threw your phone and their app which doesn't work. 2nd it doesn't record motion like a normal security system would and does.I have contacted support and their not helpful, I have been doing security systems for over 10 years and this the worst system I have ever attempted to use.I have always used nightowl and qsee but after this nightmare the past 3 days I would not recommend this system to nobody, I am returning this dvr security system. Look at the photos, there were people in my pool for over 4 hours but the system only recorded motion for a total of 11 minutes over a 4 hour time period. Save your money and save yourself the headache look at other security systems.
