Stopped my King Charles Cavaliers years of upset tummies 100% worth it Highly recommend
We had tried every food and spent hundreds - had blood tests scans and then the vet suggested trying zd. They have been eating it now for 2 months and their tummies pretty much instantly settled and their toilet 100 improved. They love it and although it is expensive it has changed all of our lives no more runny tummies. No more vet trips......wish we had started earlier.

Dog food
My dog suffers from problems with his stomach and I find it very hard to find anything he likes and suits him , he ate hills tinned food for a while his symptoms did improve a little but then he decided he didn't like it after I had bought two cases of it , my advice it try it for a month or so before you stock up it is very expensive , the quality was good smells OK but my dog decided it was not for him, months down the line I'm still trying different food under the vets advice.

Excellent results following The dog Elimination Diet
Firstly, the worst thing that causes allergies in dogs is chicken, yes, it’s in everything, and vets say give chicken and rice etc, but for a dog with allergies, it’s a big NO NO. Second worst offender is beef, and all the derivatives that you find in foods, which could be anything, if we knew we probably wouldn’t buy it, let alone feed it.And you must be careful, because even foods, which say Turkey, can have chicken fat in it, so it’s not easy. Believe it or not Turkey isn’t the cause of allergies, you would expect it the same as chicken but it’s not the case. However, dogs love chicken, it’s so hard when you have chicken for Sunday lunch, but they can’t have any of it, as well as beef.We were referred to an animal Dermatologist who told us to feed our westie an Elimination diet Hills Prescription ZD wet & dry food for six weeks, no treats etc, as the treats are as bad, they often have chicken, beef and derivatives, which can be anything. Often people feed a good diet, but forget about the treats, and then think the foods not working, or they think because it’s grain free that will do. We feed the Hills Prescription ZD dry as treats as well, and they love it. They do make Hills ZD treats, but to be honest they are the same food, just a different shape, so don’t bother with that. We also give Sprats 100% dried fish as treats, it’s a good source of Omega 3, which is good for their skin & coat. How Hills Prescription ZD works is that it is Hydrolysed, so the molecule in the food is broken down to such a small size, that it goes through the system without the body sensing it, and your dog’s body doesn’t create allergens. The wet food is also made the same way. We were told to feed our dog Bobby as per above, and it worked like a miracle. After six weeks, the dermatologist told us to put our dog back on his normal food, we did that and the itching and the scratching started to come back within days, that was to prove that it is the food, so we knew he could never eat that food again. So we put him back on the ZD diet again, once it was back under control about two weeks, this is when one can introduce a different food one at a time, it could be a Markie, if after two weeks of eating it he isn’t showing signs of allergies, it means you can carry on feeding that food, then you can try adding another food, and you continue like that, if your dog is showing signs of allergies eating the Markie, make a note of it and don’t feed again. You can also try another good quality dogfood, Lily’s Campfire, or Lamb, can usually be fed ok, however only feed one flavour at a time and see if it’s tolerated. This food is only intended for one year, though the dermatologist said we could feed it indefinitely, alongside a good vitamin. The object is finding foods or treats one at a time, that your dog can eat. Also a good shampoo is Douxos3 purifying & hydrating shampoo. And if ears are affected Otodine ear drops. Look on You Tube as to how to clean your dogs ears if your not sure.
